Search.xxx
I wonder if they do a better job ranking websites then google and alikes.
And with manwin boycotting .xxx i guess icm should return tge favor. Which means a total shift in the top 10 for 90% of the keywords. Icm should plan a billion dollar strategy to get search.xxx known to the public, its what will make or break the .xxx extension! |
Only time will tell. That's why I think keyword.xxx and keyword.com are important, and now with the launch of xxx there was the option to get a lot of keywords.xxx that were already taken under .com

And yes - of course we will be promoting and driving traffic to it. I think critical key words will be different for search.xxx, (and this is strictly my opinion) becoming more relevant to what the consumer is actually looking to find. If they are on search.xxx they will already be looking for 'porn, XXX, etc. |

Maybe it will be like the old days where all you have to do is stuff keywords in the meta tag to rank for them.
|
More like a: Pay Per Click and Pay Per Inclusion Search Engine and if so, this would be a very big mistake IMO.
I'm very curious, but at the same time I really don't see ICM listing anything for free, but lets wait and see how they decided to present this SE and with what ranking system. |
Do people really believe this shit? Search.xxx? Who the fuck is going to goto that site? The only way this whole .xxx thing is going to work is with some seriously deep pockets and/or laws passed. And even then, simply introducing another porn related TLD like .porn will make a bigger joke of this whole thing than it already is.

i find it hard to believe anyone behind .xxx is going to send webmasters any free traffic. it will be a big launch, lots of free press, but i doubt its a true search engine. |

anyone who thinks this is going to be a free search engine thats gonna give free listings is not looking at writing on the wall. |

In my opinion this is a severe conflict of interest. You are a new registrar and you SHOULD be required to sell every domain for the standard price on a first come, first serve basis (if there is a trademark violation then deal with that after the fact according to the existing procedures). You should not be allowed to reserve thousands of questionable domain names for yourselves. You should not be allowed to negotiate 5 figure deals for those domain names and you should not be allowed to open a search engine as some sort of value added product. You are a registrar of a new tld and that's what you should be. I find it sickening that ICANN allows you to do this and I sincerely hope that you be brought in line. I know some will say "but other registrars have domain auctions too" but that's not the same because .xxx is an entirely new tld and they are able to reserve names at will to force an auction before anyone registers them even once. IMO, the US government should be investigating both .xxx and ICANN for this fiasco. There should specifically be investigations looking for any illegal backroom deals or fraud which might be taking place both before and after ICANN approved .xxx. |

who do you think will get more traffic, a loser who bought one xxx domain name or their own premium names? I guess you can compare it more or less with the following: you use godaddy domain check to see if a domain is free. If the domain is free godaddy immediately register the name for their own usage and report back to you the name was already taken. Next they develop or sell the domain name for profit. That is a very smart business idea, yet not their job to do so. |

.xxx tld extension, worst idea ever. The government wants to segregate porn on the internet so it can better censor and block it. Fuuuuuuuck that!! Why would any webmaster build a website on a .xxx domain, when eventually ISPs will filter or allow for the option of blocking .xxx domains to their customers.

I hope you guys can pull it off and make it a better place google has created. Ps. Can you hit me up on icq aim or msn? |
Search.xxx isn't going to work worth shit once everybody gets done manipulating it for ranking.
If google can't keep up with the spam what makes ICM think they can? Another stupid thing they came up with to trick gullible webmasters with no common sense. knowing ICM they'll charge another $200/yr. For inclusion. |

Who thinks this clown operation is going to be able to run a fully functional search engine with algorithms to provide real results? If they could they would have made plenty of money in this biz already and not had to scam all the sheep. BAAAAAAAA
