I just wrote Paypal about billing for not only adult content but also PIRATED content.

And just to do my very best...I just submitted an IReport to CNN entitled "Paypal/Ebay Porn and Piracy" and included an "R" rated sceenshot of the pirate site with the Filesonic link and then the page on Filesonic with the big "Paypal" emblem for billing.

Might mean nothing. Or it might get some bored real reporter to start asking questions.

I may be wrong, but don't think they really have all those sites ripped. I think it is just a scam to get payment.

A quick domaintools check shows they are hosted on a server with 600 other domains.

Thanks... I frigging hate rip sites & detest filesonic! Filesonic did remove a lot of our content, so they do work well with producers & dmca, it's just annoying the content can be uploaded in the first place :2 cents:

I wrote to Paypal recently as a forum owner wanting to use paypal for donations.

I included a few example URLs of active sharing forums full of copyrighted material that accepted Paypal payments and said that my forum would be exactly the same content sharing enterprise.

I pretty much beat a dead horse in the email regarding how infringing the enterprise would be.







I got an email back that said "Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding the account you would like to create to receive donations for your forum. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you with your questions. I have read your enquiry and would like to inform you that first of all you would need to clarify if your activity is not prohibited on PayPal."

I checked the forums that Id listed in my email a month later and they still had active Paypal processing.

Even when notified with examples of infringing websites using their services, they ignore it.

Its real, just signed up and tested.

I emailed the FBI, I heard they are funding terrorists.

Content producers need to work together on this. Create sites with screengrabs, Filesonic links and PayPal, Visa and MasterCard logos next to them, and create "priceless" commercials parodies and post them on youtube and everywhere else.

If you read my thread about LeaseWeb; the child pornography we found on their servers can be paid for with PayPal, Visa and MasterCard as well. I notified MasterCard Holland about this 2 weeks ago but they didn't do a thing.

That's a brilliant idea.

When I see sites like this it really becomes depressing. As with $9 and a blazing internet connection why would I do anything else. I just keep plugging away though with the expectation other opportunities come up.

The thing you have to remember is many other good things come through adult, the people and connections you make and the education that comes with it.

If a bunch of producers would work together on this for a few months we could take all payment options for tubes and file lockers down. We don't go beg to PayPal and Visa if they please can stop processing for thieves, we just show the truth to the whole world. It's fucking insane that people can pay for stolen content and child pornography with their credit cards and PayPal. If I put a PayPal button on my site, I will get banned from PayPal (again) within one week.

Also, why is it that tubes and file lockers don't have to be 2257 compliant? If you can't proof the models on your site are at least 18, then for the US law you are selling child pornography, right?

This is the BRAM list that normally should result in an immediate termination of a credit card processing account, worldwide:
- Illegal prescription drugs
- Illegal tobacco product sales
- Counterfeit and copyright infringing merchandise
- Child pornography
- Illicit Web sites depicting violence and extreme sexual violence
- Bestiality

Filelocker oron.com is fucking stuffed with infringement, rape, violence, child pornography and bestiality and they're doing better than ever.

So here's my suggestion: in January we set up some private forum for this, accessable for content producers and content removal services and anti-piracy software developers only, and we start a huge campaign.

The others aren't too bad. The ones that piss me off from an Anti-Piracy point of view are FilesMonster & Oron. You know why?

Oron is slow, refuses to cooperate in stopping pirates while the others attempt.

FilesMonster wants you to fill out a captcha PER DMCA and you can only submit one at a time.

The filehost that acts the slowest and retains the most files, will garner the most customers.

Oron is slow as balls (both in responding and speed). The new guy seems to be FilePost at least they're responsive.

They all suck because they all know that "user generated content" really is "content stolen by users" and the only reason why they co-operate in removing files is because they don't want problems and they only get DMCA notices for maybe 10% of their content. They bloody well know that it's only pirates using their services, they advertise in the piracy bulletin board and which content producer would upload content to a file locker?

Do they ban files from their network once being DMCA-ed? Technically it's possible, it's very easy even. RapidShare does it sometimes, that's why they lost a lot of popularity amongst pirates.

Basically, getting together to fight this kind of piracy would surely be effective, but actually getting people in this business together is much tougher than it should be...this webmaster doesn't like that webmaster, etc.

I've gotten both Oron and Filepost to ban specific user accounts, make sure you keep track and point out repeat patterns in every DMCA. CC Paypal after they do not comply. It's like pulling teeth but it's worked for me.

Paypal is ridiculous overall. They will not process for us, but they will process for our content to be stolen? Must be hard times...

Eventually this will all fall like a house of cards. There is a clear paper-trail of significant money changing hands here, no doubt taxes not being paid either.
