That could be anything. I had an LLC that I forgot to renew. It is pretty common.

They also could have moved operations from one state to another or setup their company in another state or hell even another country.
|
Said they resigned on 3/23/2011, So this is not new, they may have lost on trying to get a permit to do banking in California, which is from what I remember very hard to get that license. California is the hardest.

I'll just add this link, for those who are interested in knowing who are behind Zombaio.

Generally speaking, what you are looking at is a failure to pay your annual Corporation/LLC renewal fee.

the problem can be resolved with a hefty penalty for late registration but it doesn't mean 'dead' just yet :2 cents: |
Well I got A payment from them today.. there is still hope.

Btw, Michael O is still friends with the Zombaio owners (despite his claims of a "conflict") :2 cents: |
Regardless, even if it is just a failure to properly renew a license to do business in the state, or a failure to file required documents, it speaks to the lack of attention to detail. While it is not a definitive "bad" sign it cannot in any way be construed as good.

What? because you dug up some old CA State Business suspension report? Zombaio is raking in the cash over in Sweden, then funneling it thru it's Belizian bank. Who gives a fuck if they can do business in California? You should retract your thread. |

I'm no lawyer, but I'll bet $10 that this kind of post can be grounds for a lawsuit. I know of at least 2 companies who are active here on GFY, who sued someone for posting messages that contain wrong info which could potentially damage their businesses.
When a service you depend on for your business goes bad, bitching about it on a public forum is a complete waste of your time and everyone else's. Even worse, it can cause real damage to that service, and to others who may use that service, especially when it contains false, misleading or incomplete information. A more constructive post would include an explanation of the problem, proof of inability to solve the problem in the amount of time you need it to be fixed, and then the steps you took to find an alternate solution. This constructive approach helps everyone. In any business, you always want to have a backup. Backup hard drives for servers and workstations, backup power, and even backup people. Having a backup billing provider is easy to do too. |
But why is Zombaio leaving this big hole in their reputation by not giving an official response?
A detailed explanation is badly needed. |
