I don't think I used it in a while and most of my contacts are on my skype. Most of the time I don't even turn the bitch on

A waste of time, e-mail is more concise and easier to ignore.

Email or Skype for face to face business deals.

I still have a handful of people that insist on iCQ. I have it set to automatically turn on when I boot my computer up, and then just usually leave it running. I can't remember the last time I talked to someone on ICQ.

Spammy? I haven't gotten spam on ICQ in at least 10 years and even then it was very rare.

Pfft. ICQ is useless. ICQ used to be cool until it was sold to some other company who then turned it into an overweight app full of advertising and who knows what else. SKYPE is by far the best and most useful way for real-time contact with clients.

I still turn it on. Used to be ICQ (Adult) - MSN (mainstream) - Skype (Fashionistas) but Skype ate MSN and imported all my contacts which is annoying since most Adult is on Skype and are jumbled up with non-adult, so now it's just ICQ and Skype. And Facebook chat... sigh.

I would receive at least 10-15 messages from strangers that either wanted to just "chat" or wanted me to teach them English. Not sure how any of them even got my icq number but I couldn't figure out how to block anyone. It was only about twice a week I would have people contact be that way for work anyways so I just told them I was moving to only Skype an email

ICQ oldschool

Don't use my old account as it had tons of people on it. Switched to one of my shorter 6 digit numbers and only have a small handful of people on it that I've actually met in person.

I use ICQ all the time.

Every day I have it open. Between my two accounts I would estimate 500+ contacts. Skype is great for family but when it comes to business, ICQ is where it's at for me.

I only use ICQ, but turn it on to serve my needs alone, not the needs of others. It has been years since I have left it on continuously. So, though I use it, it's a rare occasion. I have never installed Skype and possibly never will, nor any other fashion-of-the-day chat program.
