Fox News Reports Satire Of Obama Banning Doughnut Sprinkles As Fact

It’s often been said that instead of being a reputable source for news, Fox News instead comes closer to emulating a televised version of The Onion, the well-known satire news source.

Fox more than lived up to that billing on Tuesday morning’s episode of Fox & Friends when the hosts of the program apparently cited a conservative satire news outlet as the basis for their bizarre choice of topic, lowering the collective IQ of their viewers even further.

It all started when Fox & Friends host Clayton Morris warned the audience that they would have to “say goodbye to your favorite sprinkled doughnut.”

Morris held up a plate of palatable doughnuts and said, “They’re getting rid of doughnuts like these. Doesn’t the FDA have more important things to do than regulate sprinkles?”

It’s Sprinkle-ghazi! The newest Fox News conspiracy theory!

Morris then went into full ludicrous mode, frightening his viewers by telling them that if the FDA has their way then crackers, frozen pizza, popcorn, coffee creamers and canned frosting will all be prohibited.

“If you’re making some cookies once a year with your kids on the holidays, that’ll be banned,” Morris said.

And presto! A brand new talking point to bash President Obama with is born, for those who are afflicted with Obama Derangement Syndrome. No doubt that Fox News groupies all over America will be staring wistfully at their sprinkle-covered doughnuts in the coming days, wistfully wondering if it’s the last time their taste buds will ever get to savor those sprinkles, while imagining President Obama’s hand reaching out and snatching the sprinkly doughnuts, never to be seen again until the Republicans can regain power and resurrect the poor sprinkles.

Not knowing satire or subtle humor is a sure sign of a conservative. They probably think Stephen Colbert is one of theirs, because they don't have the ability to see a tongue in a cheek.

Was anyone under the impression that Fox News is full of smart people? Have you seen The Five?

Rochard 12-31-2014 04:39 PM

Fox isn't news. It's entertainment.

Fox and Friends segment is meant to be funny and humorous and obviously the thread title is incorrect and a desperate reach as the segment is about an FDA plan to possibly regulate trans-fats and the example used (sprinkles) is meant to be humorous and illustrate what small items might be affected by the plan.

Ironic when its said that Republicans have no humor when you're citing a humorous source and making something out of it that its not.

i suspect the rest of us look at Fox and friends as comedy for an entirely different reason as you.

Yes, because you are super objective and unbiased.

In my car, i bounce between CNN, MSNBC and FoxNews on satellite radio. That's how i know about it and know the tone of the show. I'd listen to MSNBC more but its offline much of the day and when its not, they are playing the audio from Locked Up episodes 80% of the time.

I'll figure out how to make some 8 tracks of Fox and Friends so you can listen to them in your home/van. I'm curious to know how much more "hate" you can find in a few people joking around about mundane topics.

YEah, um, no.

Fox News, yet again, prove to the world what asshats they are, and how they will trash absolutely anything that is associated with Prez Obama, true or not. Fox News, like Rush and other Right wingers, are complete fucking morons. Even worse, they are dangerous morons.

I still get a chuckle when i think of the thread where you actually attempted to argue that you weren't biased towards the left at all and attempted to try to argue that you were right in the center (maybe thats just a normal Canadian pussy thing). THAT was some good stuff. Unintentional forum comedy at its best. You both are at the far end of the spectrum and deny it. You have to deny it to rationalize your strong emotions towards "the other side" as being righteous and correct. The alternative is the realization that you are exactly everything you hate in the other.

Here is exactly why i'm better than you and crocket_science. I understand my bias. I accept that i'm biased. I don't attempt to spend day and night arguing against every point of "the other side" because I understand that i'm biased in my views. Being biased, i understand that I am not objectively interpreting the facts and that I am not seeing the exact same things/facts/concerns etc "the other side is". I understand they are equally biased towards their views, making agreement nearly 100% unlikely, all the time. I like pointing things out sometimes just to annoy you guys and remind you of what you are and that there is another side of the story that you are 100% blind to, because you have tunnel vision.

You clowns act like God himself comes down from the heavens to hand you the latest facts on "the other side" and that your views are always 100% correct and that you are infallible. It's amusing that you can be so lop-sided and then consider yourself to be a person that really loves science. Proof again, that science is often more about faith than fact as one can always find a way to argue their side no matter what the facts are and facts can be interpreted in many ways by someone who's will is bent on interpreting them in a way that supports a predetermined belief.

It literally is that.. when I'm traveling I always hit McD's for a coffee or sweet tea and some free wifi. It seems like a pretty even split of CNN and Fox News on their TVs and if it's Fox News it's pretty much a guarantee that they will have something to bitch and moan about Obama every 5 mins or less.

It's no wonder right wingers hate the guy so much and won't even try to give him a chance. They get the hate beat into their heads non stop. It's the same with right wing radio just non stop blame it all on Obama.

i wonder if the Daily show has ever done a segment where they counted how many times in a single day Fox News blamed obama for something.. :1orglaugh

Great, let's start blaming shit on Obama.

Unemployment is nearly lower than it was under Bush, the economy is booming, the stocking market is through the roof, and price of gas has gone down by fifty percent and is dropping.

As per usual, a retarded FAR left wing argument and two FAR left wing Liberals have their arguments completely shattered and there is nothing you can do but to do your best to ignore it, deflect, misdirected and evade. You have no choice, because unlike myself, you can't be honest with yourself and others about who and what you are.... and how that affects the way you see and understand both others and the world around you.

Obama: Oil drilling has increased on my watch

Did you know that Yesterday Obama signed into law the ability for US oil producers to export up to a million barrels of oil a day. That's something that hasn't been done since the 70s.

This is basically a fuck you to OPEC for trying to kill oil production in the US by driving the prices down. What this means is now OPEC and Russia will have competition from the US in Europe. Bush didn't even have the balls to do that..

Does Obama have your permission to claim responsibility for his signature on that?

my permission, what do you mean? Also, USA oil corps have been recording record profits for years and years, there's been zero need to lift the ban. Not to mention keeping that oil. The only reason Bo dis that 2 days ago is due to SA/OPEC not cutting production recently, in the mean time the BO admin had been oblivious to the request to open oil exports for his entire admin.

But yeah, hi-5 to BO for paving the way for Harold Hamm to make his recent $10 billion loss back right?
:thumbsup

My first post was clearly making a point - to which you responded with nonsense. Please have the person that reads this to you, slow down, enunciate and take the time to really help you understand what is said, as well as what the bigger words mean. Most importantly, don't be afraid to ask that person for help when you're stuck.

I just clarified myself on this by reading a few articles.

BO did not sign anything into law on this. IN fact, what happend was the BIF cleared up some mirky legislation on condensed distillate exports.

Quote:

The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), which regulates U.S. export controls, has come under enormous scrutiny over the past year because of growing pressure to clarify confusing regulations on exporting crude.

On Tuesday, the BIS said it had given permission to "some" companies to ship treated light oil but did not give details about what it had approved.

One administration official said the question of exports would ultimately be left to the market, and that the agency was simply seeking to "make the boundary line clearer."

Even so, with no changes to the core U.S. law that bans raw crude exports, even slower growth will eventually stretch refiners' limits, forcing tougher questions in years ahead.
BO takes credit for allowing oil exports! good 1 crockett.

I don't know why anyone thinks that Fox News is anything but entertainment. So is CNN and MSNBC.

We don't seem to have a serious news channel here in the U.S. :(

And fuck...the last few days on CNN, it's been NOTHING but that plane going down.
Nothing else on Earth is happening. There is no ISIS. There is no Russia. That whole North Korea/Sony hacking thing doesn't exist.

Just that plane. Over and over and over. With 100 different "experts" giving their opinions over and over and over.

No news reporting at all.

Just trying to grab ratings off of people's interest in the plane crash. :(

All you have to do is listen to it and its immediately apparent. I keep forgetting you guys relish in attacking things you know nothing about. Where does O'Reilly claim to be unbiased news? Or Hannity? Or anyone else that has nothing to do with "the news" on "FoxNews"?

It's a program on a news channel. No different than a show like Catfish being on MTV.. "The Music Television Network". Does this really need explaining to you? You are really reaching... as anyone driven by emotion and biased ideology tends to.
