ZOMBAIO NOT PAYING - Anyone Get Their Reserve?

A long while ago Zombaio sent us about 30% of the tens of thousands they owed us. Now, 6+ months later, they're still holding on to our reserve. Our emails to them and Zombaio tickets go unanswered or with generic "we'll send this to accounting" messages - and we never hear back.

Has anyone else actually got ALL of the money they owe?

"Tens of thousands"?
What sites do you run and how can we do business together? :)

PS: Hope you are not processing any new joins with (Scott) Zombaio.

mcbeck 03-06-2015 03:48 PM

Same with us. We've been patient with them for months, and as of about 2 months ago, we haven't even gotten any responses from them at all. Our last message to them is indicating that we've advised our customer base to cancel their accounts with Zombaio, and that we're going to cancel all accounts manually in about a month. After that, we're going to be discussing with our attorney about what to do next. Not that it will do much good, but we're also considering blasting them and calling them out to 110k Twitter followers.

EDITED TO ADD: We actually got to a point where we completely redesigned our site with a new domain and went with another processor who has been nothing but awesome with us.

Read on another board somebody else complaining about Zombaio stealing their reserves

Markul 03-20-2015 07:51 AM

I am amazed that people are still - in any way - processing with these people.

webmasters should ask for the reserve, not the otherway around :2 cents:

yup newb site owners accept the risk because they don't want to shell out any money to go live. we explain the risks - that their payments will be slow or never paid - but we still get 5-10 Zombaio install requests per month. Is $600 for Verotel a lot of money these days?

I am reciving all new payouts by them , every time on time , i also have those in reserves like others but i think that will be paid out as well

NaughtyNerdy 03-21-2015 11:21 PM

Got all my newpayments, and cancelled all my rebills with them. They aren't paying reserves and overdue payments.

We get maybe 1 a month that I can't convince to go elsewhere... it's a shame really, because zombaio from the developer point of view for a simple monthly membership hookup was very painless. Most people want ccbill/epoch/netbilling now with the odd verotel here and there.

In order to launch a successful paysite in 2015 you need to invest a lot of money.
If this is your first site a $600 makes big a difference.

When a processor is holding a lot of your money ransom, you are willing to try to get this money back.

As i understand, Zombaio promised to pay out owed money if you continue to send new sales.

If $600 forces you to do business with a known un-reputable processor, then maybe the person should hold off launching that website.:2 cents:

Rolling into Zombaio's pocket, lots of people havent been paid, Zombaio is trying to reset history by acting like they were purchased and having webmasters sign new agreements to shield them from liability and hoping webmasters have a short term memory...but the reality is this company has stolen from its clients.

Ibill,globill, epassporte, zombaio

That's the game many companies play, isn't it? Sell the biz to "someone" then the new "owners" go: hey, it's not OUR fault, take it up with the previous "owner" - IF you can find them.

Companies registered in Cyprus and God knows where else....sure, lots of recourse to recoup your ass once it's been raped. No thanks.

Do yourself a favor and stay away in the beginning = less pain in the end (literally).

TheSquealer 03-23-2015 11:49 AM

This is a sign of the kind of personalities that are in this "industry"... a new payment processor comes around, skins the board, does a big thread, gets asked a lot of tough questions they couldn't answer about processing and then has a massive and spectacular implosion, failing to answer questions, attacking others etc to the point that they had gfy delete the thread and then they came back and tried it again. Since that time, there has been nothing but excuses and late payments and people are still surprised.

Now they are done and people are losing their money. Shocker.

innproductions 03-25-2015 01:32 AM

So glad we dodged this bullet. I know too many people at this point who have not received a dime from them.

LOL - Not going to happen.

Anyone seeing the "New" Zombaio payments becoming later and later?

JimAssman 05-06-2015 08:35 PM

I signed up with Zombaio last year, because they are not charging $500,- Credit Card fee's for a so called high risk account.

A year later I have:
- 1000 members
- 2 cancellations
- 25 support requests
- 0 disputes
- 0 chargebacks.

Last year they stopped payments at the end of the year, and started again in January, leaving me with a E800,- gap from 2014.

A few moths ago, I got a contact email address here on GFY, which seemed to be interested in helping out. The contact Paul arranged a payment of E300,-, leaving the rest E500,- open. Since then, not a sound anymore from Paul, nor Zombaio.

After reading this tread, I must say that I'm pretty disgusted with the way Zombaio is handling their business, and strongly believe they have a different agenda than what is necessary to process payments.

It took me a f...ing long time to install my payment system with them, and I'm afraid it is going to take me a even longer time to change processors.

My website is membership based, however I sell currency to members which they can use to buy access to the websites on my platform. I came up with this idea in order to minimise customer service issues, and pay royalties to content providers, which is working very well. However this is unique, and most processors don't seem to be able to support it.

Anyone that have any tips for a processor that can handle this system, would be highly appreciated.

My advice for those who are contemplating signing up with Zombaio: Don't

xXXtesy10 05-06-2015 09:09 PM

zombaio is on top!
