Some dumb fat cop here in Toronto shot an unarmed kid on a ttc bus and lost his job and was charged with murder. You guys put them on paid leave. Its crazy.

That, admittedly...was a fuck-up situation at the time. I saw the footage from two different camera angles - the shooting was unjustified and uncalled for. The cop should've been charged and his wage suspended. But under union rules they're required to continue paying him to babysit a desk and push a pencil.

Not enough footage for me to draw a conclusion. I can't really believe anything media says anymore (US or Russian). Maybe more video will show up.

I'm pretty sure that nobody here at GFY are the ones putting them on paid leave. Unless Rochard is doing it.

According to comments on GFY, they just love it because it's FREEDOM. Their police is free to taze or kill just for fun.

nobody likes to be associated with bad stuff, and lots of people can't separate A from B.

So, (and bear in mind I've not that long been awake, plus my normal too-lazy-to-perfect-my-board-posts-demeanour)..

1. gfy members say 'you' as in 'your country', other gfy members read 'you' as 'you, whom are directly responsible and associated with things that in reality have no control over

2. this creates an 'us versus them' mentality - non-americans know jack shit about the US (guns, culture, dangers, etc)

3. brain creates reasons and/or justifications for majority of situations

I think everyone knows you are going to get bad apples, I also think everyone is more wondering why the bad apples are glossed over, ignored completely, and/or seemingly encouraged.

You will get burglars, rapists, murderers, robbers, and so on in any big number group, I'm sure I don't see tons of people saying 'well, that's about normal' and nothing being done about it.

The US Supreme Court has to define when a police shooting is "good" and Congress pass law that reinforces that ruling more specifically under U.S. Code: Title 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE. Ship 100 bad cops to federal prison and put them into the general population. Only then, will these, relatively few, bad apple cops think twice before they shoot. If the shoe fits wear it.
