The mainstream Republicans created this monster by allowing fringe right wing nuts to drive some of their ideology. It's been seeping into the party for the last 8 years and now there's some chickens coming home to roost. The guy who is running Trump's campaign is responsible for the movement to oust some major Republicans from their seats in Congress -- and it's their own fault for not standing up to loud mouths on talk radio like Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, etc.

Centrist Republicans need to move on and create a new party, i.e. Progressive Republican Party - not sure why they are afraid to do it. There is NO way they can force the alt right out of the party.

If Hillary wins the Republicans will be in disarray. If Hillary wins and the Democrats also take back the House and/or Senate the Republican Party will look like Lord of the Flies.

It will be bad enough that a criminal who was actively under investigation by the FBI beat them for the White House, but to lose congress as well will cause major chaos.

If this happens I won't be shocked to see some major changes in the party platform and leadership.

Trump lost the election on the very first day. His theme of "Make America Great Again" doesn't make any sense - Is America not already great? Has it never been "not great"? Toss in calling Mexicans rapists and it was all down hill from there.
