The media is making me ashamed of being a Democrat lately...

Inauguration is almost here , and instead of coming together here on MLK day...all that Democratic leadership is doing is trying to divide us and cause panic for Trump's inauguration.

1) Michelle Obama today said this should be a 'call to action'.

2) Democratic congressmen are telling people to boycott his inauguration on Friday.

3) The media could calm things down by not making it like this is the only thing in the news....but they are. So if there IS violence on Friday, the Media and Democrats are solely to blame.

It's like Democrats think their all a bunch of emo cheerleaders lately. Be professional, be respectful , it's friggin Inauguration Day for crying out loud. Their behaving just as immature as 'Generation Snowflake' at this point.

they mine as well hallucinate again, and say the russians hacked the minds of americans to vote Republican.

all their really doing is pushing hardcore democrats of old, to the middle.

beerptrol 01-16-2017 11:29 AM

Over the past 8 years democrats had been saying we should come together and do what's best for the people and the republicans were having none of it.

The democrats have bowed down to the republicans these years and have become corporate democrats and are to stupid to see that people want change and not business as usual. The old guard democrats think things are fine and that hacking caused her to lose. When inreality people are fed up and want to be heard and represented.

Respect is earned and Trump's behavior hasn't earned any respect

I feel u on that, but now's not the right time for them to blow sht out of proportion ..when racial tensions are already at their worst in decades.

Trump is meeting with MLK the 3rd at trump tower now...but it gets no news on Foxnews.

It's like Democrats want another civil war. They can sit back and fire away on twitter or whatever their favorite media outlet is....while their kids go to school and get beat up by kids of another race.

"Payback" is what got Trump elected. Obama Nation overplayed it's hand and Trump is the pushback. Libbies have no one but themselves to blame for this.

Why are you lying? He's live in CNN with MLK's son right now.

Edit: Trump wouldn't take any questions or pics just walk MLK's son out and went right back in the elevator. No words of unity or wishing America happy MLK day :disgust

Come together? LOL - Why? The Republicans didn't come together under Obama.

We are so fucked.

Your logic is flawed IMO.. Democrats having been saying we need to come together but Republicans have consistently ran away from that. Not once in the last 8 years have Republicans tried to work with Democrats. They still are not trying to work with Democrats and have actually started having secret votes and meeting to make sure they do not work with Democrats.

Trump has done literally "NOTHING" at all to show he is willing to work together with Democrats. In fact, Trump has done "EVERYTHING" possible to try and rub it in Democrats faces that he wont work with them.

Being nice to someone who is trying to punch you in the face is pretty fucking ignorant..

I agree with all that, and h*ll yea it pissed me off during Obama's first 4 years as president. You can tell that he was truly trying to outreach and start over with Republicans...but like you said, they wanted none of it. The 2nd 4 years...it was like he just said "FUCK IT" , there's no negotiating with these guys. He practically gave up and just started doing sht on his own....Veto'ing stuff , freeing prisoners , and telling Democratic leadership to not even bother introducing new bills to congress...because Republicans are in their own world.

But when does this cycle ever end? when does the reset button ever get pressed and listened to? THAT's why I was encouraged when Trump won the election. Because we allllll fuckin know Hillary would of just brought in 8 more years of corruption. Her and Bill already fullfilled the majority of their hit list.

ANOTHER reason why I was glad when Trump won. As the atmosphere truly felt like that on election day. 8 years ago, the Democrats were the weak, poor people looking in....now we've become the overzealous , overconfident , overcorrupt bunch. And it truly probably IS the reason why Trump won.... (others noticed the same that we did)

The cycle ends when Democrats block and stall everything so Trump/Republicans can do nothing and are forced to come to the table. Republicans hold all 3 offices so it's not Democrats time to bend the knee to try and work with Republicans. It's Republicans time to try to work with Democrats.

The deal is, I've seen many Democrats who have openly stated they are not apposed to working with Republicans, but Republicans have made no moves to work with Democrats. There is zero reason for Democrats to sit idly by and allow Republicans to do what they want. This is not a dictator ship and our country is not ruled by a single party.

This will continue until Republicans start coming back to the table and work for the good of the country. The sad part is it will only get worse. Democrats will now get just as outrageous as Republicans have been because they are forced into that role by Republicans who think Democracy is their way 100% of the time.

The simple fact is Republicans for the last 8 years have acted like this country is ruled by 1 party. They have completely ignored the will of the people and only serve what their party masters want. Democrats can not allow this, because it's extremely dangerous for that kind of attitude with someone as egotistic as Trump in the WH. That's how dictatorships happen.

All this will do is have the Republicans do the same sht back to us...in 4 or 8 years.

The reset button needs to be pushed and listened to...from all sides.

Maybe it's time for a Green Party candidate. (then again, it somewhat feels like Trump is our first Green Party candidate)

I don't think he's going to be as Republican-friendly as all republicans currently think. Remember he's been raised mostly in Jersey...workin in casinos. And has already showed tendencies towards Democrats.

Trump is real...not like other fake Republicans. Lets give Trump a chance, and not be immature like the media is currently...trying to feed a race war.

Vendzilla 01-16-2017 12:54 PM

Democrats are doing the same shit they have always done, which has caused division in the country and cost them heavy numbers. They have zero power right now because of what they did to the filibuster while they had power. The elections in 2018 will lose them even more seats if Trump can move on even one of his promises

Really disgusting if you think about it, even some GFY leftists said that they wish Trump would do well etc. Instead of coming together they are trying to divide and hurt the country. Truly disgusting.

Republicans will do the same shit anyway, so the only thing to do is block them until they figure out this is not the road they want to travel.

You are looking at this with the idea Republicans are logical and really care about this country as a whole.

They are not and do not. They are guided by ideology just like relgious people are. Have you ever tried to convince a relgious person there is no god? There is no logical thinking on their part, it's their way or no way.

For all of the hoopla surrounding today and the man whose memory and courage we honor on this day I believe Dr King would be embarrassed by what the black leaders in this country are doing

The thing that everyone should take away from his teachings are that as long as we see ourselves as different we will never be equal, treating anyone as inferior based on race, religion, gender or whatever is wrong but it is even more wrong when the very people trying to be equal insist that they must be treated differently because of these things, it simply means that they see themselves as inferior and unable to compete on a level playing field.

Just my :2 cents:

I don't know how many people on this board are aware that there are 3 states in the south...I happen to live in one...that voted some time ago to also celebrate Robert E. Lee's birthday today....so if I go into town the stores have signs that they are closed for his birthday...not MLK's

It's ok to celebrate Robert E Lee's birthday if people want to but the reason behind it is obvious. Many people seem to think MLK day is a black person's holiday. It's not, he was a important person in the history of this country just like Robert E Lee was.

The problem is we all know why certain types of people can not seem to understand that MLK was a very important person to the history of this country, because they only see him as black. It's pretty obvious that the reason those 3 states celibate REL instead of MLK is because they are scared of the future and mad it's not the 1950's where "black" people knew their place..

Dems want to act like Repubs did when Obama was elected.

Dems should demand Trump's birth certificate and tax returns as "payback".

Then stall every possible thing they can in congress just like republicans did.

Payback is being as asshole too.

I see, you're a believer that Republicans will be in power the next 4-8 years and in 2018 Democrats wont take back the House or Senate.

Let's say Democrats take back the senate in 2018, because Trump will fuck up bigly.

We will deny Trump his SCOTUS, you know that, unless he/she is liberal, only fair :thumbsup
