The common denominator of these mass shootings is psychiatric drugs. Those types of drugs do have the side effects of violence and suicide. Stop the drugging of America to stop the shootings.

Someone like that baseball field shooter is gonna take out some Republican congressmen and perhaps some NRA officials and then it will finally be time to talk about background checks is and sensible gun restrictions which 90% of Americans support..

One of the fathers of one of the victims is gonna react to one of these shootings and he will take out the right people and that's the only thing that will change it. When people voting aginst fucking background checks start having crosshairs on their chest, they might think twice about how they vote.

Honestly, I'm amazed it hasn't happened yet.. A few NRA officials or a few gun nutter congressmen start getting shot they will suddenly rethink who should have guns..

Until that time every card carrying NRA member and every Republican in congress has these kids blood on their hands..

my daughter went to a public school in Palmdale, guards, gates, metal detectors... there was no door in the dark room, no money. so the photography class she was taking at the times was kinda pointless. but the kids were safe.

as weird as this might sound, the only thing my daughter got from photography class was a lesbo stalker... no shit... that teacher called and stalked my daughter for some time...

The ONLY people who will bring up gun control are the Mainstream Media reporters.
They were already screaming for it on CNN yesterday while the children were running out of the school. They didn't even wait for the incident to be over before they were already doing it.

Now which politician will ANSWER the shouted questions from the reporters and tell them now is not the time? I don't know.

By the way...unless we want to completely just throw out the Constitution...we CAN'T have any real "gun control" in this country as long as the 2nd Amendment exists.

As I have said before...IF we want to disarm ourselves, then we need Congress to grow some balls and repeal the 2nd Amendment.
All this tap-dancing with loopholes around the 2nd Amendment is nonsense.

Also..I would like to point out...when I was a kid and later in high school...damn near everyone had guns. Even the kids in highschool had rifles and shotguns on the gun racks of their pickups in the highschool parking lot. This kind of thing just didn't happen.

I'm thinking it's more of a problem with our society than an inanimate object.

And quite frankly...our society may have gotten to the low-point that gun ownership may NOT be possible anymore.

Which is why I say the 2nd Amendment needs to be repealed if that is what the majority of our citizens want.

School shootings are through the roof NOW. But not so much before.

Even in the 1920's and 1930's when people were running around with actual machine guns...it didn't happen.

I think it's definitely a societal change we are witnessing. A loss of respect for life, etc.

And with this change...we may actually need to disarm our citizenry. :(

No that's not true. All kinds of people want gun control. I even read that more than 60% of NRA members want gun control.

Before I say more though, let me say that I'm actually with you when it comes to guns. I don't own one personally, but I have no problem with people who do. A pistol for self defense? Fine. A shotgun for scary self-defense? Better! You have an interest in WWII guns or sniper rifles? Ok, BUT BUT BUT....

What the US really needs is gun control that: Prevents mentally ill, criminals, anyone with any record at all, from buying, owning or carrying a gun. To me this is common sense. It lets good people like you and me own guns AND makes the world alot safer at the same time.

And when it comes to sniper rilfes, OK, but with restrictions such as small magazines. At LEAST small magazines. Maybe high capacity magaines can be available "for rent" only at the shooting range or something... Is this so bad?
