Stormy Daniels sues Trump, says ‘hush agreement’ invalid because he never signed

Adult film star Stormy Daniels sued Donald Trump Tuesday, alleging that he never signed the nondisclosure agreement that his lawyer had arranged with her.

The civil suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by NBC News, alleges that her agreement not to disclose her "intimate" relationship with Trump is not valid because while both Daniels and Trump's attorney Michael Cohen signed it, Trump never did.

"In the alternative, Plaintiff seeks an order of this Court declaring that the agreements in the forms set out in Exhibits 1 and 2 are invalid, unenforceable, and/or void under the doctrine of unconscionability."

The suit also says that Trump must know that Cohen is trying to silence Clifford, since rules for the New York bar, of which Cohen is a member, require him to keep his client informed at all times. "[I]t strains credulity to conclude that Mr. Cohen is acting on his own accord and without the express approval and knowledge of his client Mr. Trump."

My first thought is that someone is behind her, pushing her to do this, and most likely someone is either funding the lawsuit or directly paying her to make it happen. I won't go so far as to claim it's the DNC; If they have anything to do with it they will do in a way so that no one knows. Most likely it's a rich Democrat doing this on his own. The millionaire who is spending millions of TV ads comes to mind.

If this goes to trial can you just imagine the shitstorm this will be? Can you imagine Trump under oath answering questions about how many times he fucked a pornstar? How many pornstars he fucked? Did he pay these pornstars for sex? Where did this hush money come from? Was campaign money used for this? Did Trump pay for it, or the attorney? Is any of this legal?

I know that at first they were trying to say that he MIGHT have used campaign funds. But that turned out to be false.

Dude...we are STILL in a FREE country. There is absolutely nothing illegal about paying someone to keep quiet about having an affair. Or anything else you want to pay them to not talk about (as long as it wasn't something illegal of course...for instance I couldn't murder someone and pay you to keep quiet about it).

What is interesting to me is how Trump may have actually taken a lot of power from the Evangelicals within the Republican party. For decades Republicans have had to bow to them and give them what they want or fear that they won't have their support and thus lose elections. With Trump, it is now becoming clear they will support anyone who has an R next to their name. Regardless of how Trump's presidency ultimately turns out, future Republicans may not give into the Evangelicals nearly as much because they know they will end up with their support anyway.

If Trump had harassed or assaulted women there would be a serious issues. As it is, this guys is a horn dog who, by all accounts, compensates the women he sleeps with quite well. So, what if he had a consensual affair? What I don't understand is why Daniels needed hush money? Is she looking to profit from writing a book? Does she want the lime light?
