Meaning products made in Mexico can no longer come across the border. Meaning Americans on vacation in Mexico cannot come home. Meaning Mexicans who cross the border every day legally to buy American goods cannot come over.

There is nothing wrong with our immigration laws. We have a path for people to come here legally. Just like any other country.

Our Republican & Democrat congress in our legislative branch will pass a funding bill again, Trump in the executive branch will veto it, then congress will override his veto with 2/3 votes. Also, the judicial branch won't let Trump close the border to fund a wall, they've stopped a lot of his stupid tyrant moves.

No, not at all. Trump said he would be proud to shut down the government and he did. There was an offer on the table - which passed the senate - that offered up over a billion dollars for border protection. Trump refused it. This is a Trump shutdown. Trump is proud of this.

LOL. This just validates the entire point of not having a need for a wall. What these signs say is ports of entry are restricted, and people might try to flee through the port of entry. There is already walls around the ports of entry.

There is a real easy way to do this. When the Dems take the House over next week they pass a bill that gives Trump direct access to the extra money that will now be coming in from Mexico and he can use that to pay for his wall. This way his wall gets built, Mexico actually pays for it, and everyone is happy. If they do this and Trump refuses to sign the bill, then we know just how much he really believes in this new deal.

I don't know about military pay rates, but I do know they got 700 billion in funding. The Army Corp of Engineers builds things. They have the funds and will build the wall. You alt-left dupes don't seem to realize that the shutdown over border security is just theater. The wall is funded, he just wants to expose the Democrats as being against border security and being in favor of rampant crime (to get new voters)

He likely doesn't have the legal authority to reallocate that money and even if he does, where are they going to cut to give it to him? He just made a big deal about giving more money to rebuild the "greatly depleted' military left to him by Obama and now he wants to take it back.

This is either a straight up lie or he is referring to things that happened back in March when Congress approved funds for about 80 miles of wall in a few locations. Of course, this was months before Trump even signed the new NAFTA replacement deal so there is no way this money is coming from Mexico. Not to mention this deal of his doesn't go into effect until it actually passes through Congress which has not happened.

And if the Trump administration gets the $5 billion it's requested, DHS says it would build 215 miles (346 kilometers) that it considers the "highest priority," include 159 miles (256 kilometers) in Texas.

How much money do you think Mexicans spend in the United States each day when they legally cross the border? How many tens of millions of dollars do you think the United States sends to Mexico every day?

Normally that would be true. However, the President has declared a Human Rights Emergency AND has notified Congress that he's invoking the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985. By making these two declarations President Trump has communicated that he has the authority to NOT spend any funds he doesn't deem necessary and will return them to the US Treasury.

If he determines that building a Wall on the Southern Border is a defense against Human Trafficking, he can move funds from anywhere else in the Defense Dept Allocation & simply build the Wall. Congress is powerless to stop cash reallocations on an omnibus bill AND cannot stop the DOD from taking measures under a declared Emergency. Despite their language in the Omnibus Bill about the Border Wall, it is trumped by the State of Emergency that Trump declared.
