macho 07-19-2004 09:43 AM

What is the characteristics of this car?

candyflip 07-19-2004 09:45 AM

Impala SS is a bad ride.

Big Cheese 07-19-2004 09:46 AM

No. Those are ugly as can be. :2 cents:

Screaming 07-19-2004 09:48 AM

no thanks though

BT 07-19-2004 09:49 AM

Looks like an undercover cop to me.

Validus 07-19-2004 09:52 AM

I actually like Impalas and Caprice Classics. Do some engine work and some interior work and they are the best for cruising. Disappointing is the new Impala, even with the "interceptor" package.

macho 07-19-2004 09:53 AM

I prefer Japan or European cars!

TDF 07-19-2004 09:53 AM

Vitasoy 07-19-2004 09:57 AM

Yes, US and Canadian police use/used Impala, Caprice, and Crown Victorians. They have an Interceptor package though. As far as I know, the interceptor package is "just" a suspension upgrade.

brizzad 07-19-2004 10:13 AM

not only do they look gangsta as hell, but they can tear the 1/4 mile up

dunefield 07-19-2004 10:19 AM

Validus 07-19-2004 10:23 AM

Did it not come with a big block at one point? I know you can drop a 502 in it fairly easy.

blazi 07-19-2004 10:25 AM

I don't care what anyone says, I like the look of the Impala SS and would surely drive one!

fuzebox 07-19-2004 10:26 AM

I'd rather bus.

Totally agree. I prefer them in black, though that balck cherry does look nice. I dont like when they add the big rims I think they look better lowered just a bit to lessen the wheel well gap.

The 1996 was the only year they came with floor shifters but they also have the OBD3 and are slower than the 94's.

When was the last year of this body style? The new ones are too small and don?t have much of the body style anymore. I think Chevy should keep some of the ?old? Chevy feeling onboard.

Gabriel 07-19-2004 10:52 AM

This body style was in production from 1994 through 1996. I really cant get into the front wheel drive models.

Corleone 07-19-2004 10:54 AM

looks coool.. sure

Ar3s 07-19-2004 10:55 AM

not my type..

PenisFace 07-19-2004 10:59 AM

I'd drive it if it's bagged...

I'd much rather drive a JDM (japanese domestic market) civic though :Graucho

(note that all of the pieces on this car are imported from japan, and cost a testicle a piece.. Most of the guys here that do this are merely trying to return the shitty looking hatch's we got here back into the sports oriented Type R from japan... And Spoon makes road racing parts, so no, the guy isnt a fan of eating)

Sorry about taking over the thread.. I just couldn't help it. Sometimes, bling just pisses me off.

Not my taste!

TaDoW 07-19-2004 11:49 AM

the ONLY one I have ever liked was the one that Rockford Fosgate used as their show car for a few years ... with the 15's up on the rear deck ... that thing was pretty fucking tight
