Just curious, why was this thread closed?

No explanation given, or needed since it's not my board, but just curious what prompted it?

Same with the Fonz thread, most of us who posted in there ended up doing business with one another at some point, largely due to that thread. Things on the surface aren't always what they seem.

Exactly that's the point. Why close them? Lens said the Fonz thread was what people were criticizing GFY for. I would think more people would be criticising the board for all the retards that run amuck day in, and day out unchecked. I doubt the Fonz stirred up much critiscism at all.

Just make a new one Taboo. They didn't tell you not to, so make one. It could just be that it's harder on the server to query through the huge threads ?

Maybe that one threatened the status of members with large post counts. An easy way to grow 10,000 new post counts.

maybe one of the mods MISTAKENLY thought it was DOMAINS FOR SALE when the thread actually listed DOMAINS THAT HAVE ALREADY SOLD

it was a guide, a tracker, etc to help webmasters figure out what was going on in certain parts of the domain industry, price tracking, news, networking, etc...

Even when they closed the FONZ thread they offered up a reason. So, MODS, why'd you shut down that thread? :helpme

Your right..I didn't bother to read it..just noticed a few people posted quite a bit into it..My guess they thought it was spammy and probably thought it was being bumped too much..It's just like those contests..they close them as well.
