I leave mine on all the time because I heard that when you reboot it's like a shock to the system.

I'm the opposite, I like to hear the fan whirring when I go to bed. If I shut down it becomes too quiet for me to sleep :)

24/7. I normally leave it doing something like downloading or ripping movies or something.

24/7 is the only way to go. Who wants to wait 5 min in the morning or middle of the night when you wanna do some work? Not me!

24/7 with the covers off, to lazy to mount my hard drives so there setting up right back to back. Also has a big hole were some SCSI's were
mounted, to lazy to look for the cover's.

I put tabs together for my college for nearly two years on a PPC7500 (that's right, 100mhz buddy). Now that's mind numbing!
Our trusty k6-2 300 is still chugging away beside me, running photoshop 6 and dreamweaver 4 all the while I hear it mumbling "I think I can, I think I can."

I have one P4 1.6 with 1024 of DDR that stays on 24/7 (cause its usually hosting a Quake III game)
One P4 1.6 that most my designing gets done on, so it is on pretty much 24/7 other than when Cubase decides its time for a re-boot.
And a 266 laptop that I almost never turn on. I heard it is not good to leave laptops on because they don't get the same airflow a tower does.
