the mouseovers on EStudio's site are very cool.

I thought one day adult would be ready for Flash but I've changed my mind, it means nothing to porn surfers, it's only for the webmaster's ego. Some little Flash doo dads are ok for buttons and maybe menus but better to keep to old fashioned HTML.

Mainstream ain't ready for it either really. We're still a long way off from broadband being in even half the Internet households in North America. Until then Flash is a hinderance to making money,
but it's still great for content, animated movies and games. Most Flash games for the adult market quite frankly SUCK!

I love pixel graphics art and web design the most right now. It takes a lot of patience to do it and again it's totally useless for
adult unless you have a lot of time on your hands.

the little 'smilies' here on GFY are pixel graphics. Throwback to the days of early colored computer displays when graphics had no anti-aliasing in them. Jaggies are retro and cool when done right.

One bad thing about EStudio ... I have Flash 6 installed and it won't let me see the site because it "doesn't detect Flash 5".

Always wonderful when Flash people screw up their javascript detect scripts and shoot themselves in the foot. A lesson there.

I have however seen eStudio in the past, and yes, they rock.

Good old Balthaser! They were the most kickass a couple years back I remember. Neat lil programming tool they have there now.

I'm getting pushed by an investor I've dealt with on site buyouts to be part of a take over of a cool NYC design crew that does real cutting edge stuff like this. Can't decide if I want to go that route and end up having to chair the captian's chair or not. It'd be good for the design ego, but bad for the "I'm the king" ego. =]

it's already happening... when places like kara's network and adult.com are using flash pieces and most people understand how flash ads capture attention there isn't as much reluctance to it these days..

it's just that some people are still stuck in a '99 mindset of "flash = some design wanker's 800k full page flash".. when in reality it's flashed areas of html pages or FPA's that is where it's at.
You use the technology the way it's best to use it.. and for flash thats for low filesize sales communication.
It isn't a broadband technology any more than uncompressed html is...

I forgot to add that flash is as mainstream as hell.. it's on every major site that uses advertising... and most major companies use it.

I've heard a lot about him actually. Going to go to my local library and check if they've got it. Designing Business: Multiple Media, Multiple Disciplines. I'm by no means a designer, but i love looking at what some designers are able to do. Yes, it gives me wood.
