It is quite shocking and punishment is needed. The guys that kept watch should get it tough; pussy bastards. The editing of the clip within the news broadcast is way more shocking than just the clip itself. I seen some beatings; way worse than this one and I stand by Bruce Lee when he said, "If you are not tough enough, hire a bodyguard." The world is a dangerous place that you need to be prepared for.

I hope she and her family end up rich at the expense of the other kids families.

I think life is a pretty extreme sentence.
While they should be punished and IMHO, tried as adults, i don't think life is a fair sentence.

While there are a lot of cries of "what about the parents?" well these kids were old enough, they knew it was wrong and while the parents can take a little blame, these kids need to learn to take responsibility for their actions...

I am glad they are paying for their crime but life seems too harsh as well. perhaps a canning?

I dunno life sounds about right to me.. You have to figure, the video you are seeing was taken "after" they had already beat her to the point she was knocked out. Think about it, how hard is it to kill someone? They beat her head into the wall and fucked up this girls eye and ear and gave her a concussion. I mean fuck you can die from a concussion.

They could have very easily given the girl brain damage or killed her b4 any of this happened. The fact that they knocked her out and didn't call the ambulance then continued to beat her after she came too is pretty fucked up and is attempted murder IMO.

We don't need fuck ups like this walking around the street.. Those bitches will end up as trailer trash with 5 kids each that the state will pay for. Probably become criminals themselves. Put the dumb bitches in jail until they are too old to reproduce is what I say..

It is not just the beating charge but they are going to get the kids on kidnapping too - the girl said she wanted to go and they held her in the house and continue to beat her. Life may be too harsh but at least some kids will think twice before doing this shit again.

What disgusted me almost even more was during questioning, one of the girls was saying she hoped she'd still be able to attend her cheerleading practice. She thought the punishment would be so light that she'd be able to carry on as normal, even after being busted!

What you see in this video was after she came back too and tried to leave. So they beat her up again.

I'm sure one or the combination of charges COULD amount to life in prison, but I can't imagine any judge actually imposing it. You know how the news is, they say could get life in prison because it's somehow possible, not because it's likely.

chalk it up to bad parenting. that's my stance. does anyone know if the damage to the victim's eye and ear is permanent? i saw something with the parent's speaking about their daughter losing sight in any eye and hearing in an ear. punishment should be measurable to the extent of the physical damage in addition to the psychological damage.

Let them go the day after a doctor certifies that the victim has fully recovered. If that's next week, fine. If that's never, then so be it.

In any event, the perps (or more likely their parents) need to make full financial restitution.

That's the way this should go down.
