Gas is crazy here.

Well it's now $3.31 here :( I'm sure it's much more in some places. I don't know how people are getting by driving back and forth to work. I'm thank full TF and I can work from home.

:Oh crap

pornguy 04-15-2008 08:03 AM

I am paying 2.63 a gallon, and there is talk that our price will actually go down. We dont drive much, and right now 40$ in my F150 is lasting about 2 weeks..

IllTestYourGirls 04-15-2008 08:04 AM

around 3.25 here

ADL Colin 04-15-2008 08:04 AM

Oil hit a new record per barrel today.

gadabout 04-15-2008 08:06 AM

It is $3.45 here last I saw.

DateDoc 04-15-2008 08:10 AM

More expensive here but then the last time I filled up my car was about 5 weeks ago and I still have a quarter tank left.

Socks 04-15-2008 08:12 AM

I stopped driving start of this month, but still use my car just to go to the grocery store across the street etc, with no insurance.. It's just one stoplight away. I filled up $10 just to keep the light off the other day, was $1.266 a liter here in Toronto for premium gas which my car needs.

I did a conversion to US gallons here.. Works out to $4.79 a gallon in Canadian $$.

You guys still have it pretty good. The costs for everything here are higher though, just about anything you can think of is more expensive.

Sosa 04-15-2008 09:16 AM

Yeah it is expensive as fuck. We are keeping a little car around just to take road trips etc in. I would like to buy a new pick up but fuck with the way gas is going I don't think that would be too smart. Our little SUV is costing enough to fill up.

Rochard 04-15-2008 09:41 AM

Driving from California to the Phoenix Forum the highest we saw was $4.06......

However, we so rarely drive. I work from home and my wife doesn't work. We don't use our cars too often.

Horny Dude 04-15-2008 09:43 AM

Paid $3.65 yesterday here in San Diego.

You had better stay in the sticks then. You won't survive in the real world . . . unless you are walking.

tony286 04-15-2008 10:34 AM

3.37 for the cheap stuff by my house

farkedup 04-15-2008 10:36 AM

driving 750 miles a week here in a honda civic hybrid gas is $3.5 a gallon right now... fuck talk about gas getting cheaper, we all know it'll be $4 everywhere this summer and until Bush is gone oil companies will keep seeing record profits.

Tom_PM 04-15-2008 10:37 AM

Oh man I hear you! It's SUCH a nice thing to be working from home!

For those who commute, maybe check gasbuddy.com or similar.

TubeTitans_SusieQ 04-15-2008 10:39 AM

yea it usually takes me about $36 to fill up my tank and i do it twice a week...with gas at $3.31 i wonder how i EVER complained about it being $1.75...it really sucks

Violetta 04-15-2008 10:41 AM

3 times more here in Norway!

Wizzo 04-15-2008 10:45 AM

I have no clue what it is here, because I'm going to buy it regardless...:pimp

ADL Colin 04-15-2008 10:52 AM

I am in the real world thank you very much, I don't need to do any walking no matter where I live. :winkwink: VW's are great on gas.

:winkwink:

tranza 04-15-2008 12:07 PM

Buy cars that spend less gas. Period.

Dude it's like once every 2 weeks to go across the street, it's like a motorized trunk. I maybe hit a top speed of 20km/h the whole trip.

In mexico city where my wife is from, car insurance is optional. :)

After Shock Media 04-15-2008 01:14 PM

I just filled my tank and it cost me $90 and some change. That is a fucking bitch. Pretty sure it was like 3.59 a gallon for low grade, which I used.

Before any Euro people pipe up, STFU now. You all have usable public transportation and the distances are just not the same.

I figured out that its costing me over 1200.00 a month to have this van.

born2blog 04-15-2008 01:15 PM

Looks like there will be no mercy on gas prices anytime in the near future also which is not a good sign

SteveVVS 04-15-2008 01:16 PM

1.25$ a litre so 4.73$ a galon :(

It's foolish to be taking that kind of risk with other people's lives. It's not you that's the concern. It's the cyclist or mom with a stroller at the corner we're worried about. try telling them that insurance is optional in Mexico and see what they have to say.

TurboAngel 04-15-2008 01:23 PM

Well they just went up here today so now it's $3.36, II should have kept my mouth shut.

:(

Socks 04-15-2008 01:23 PM

OMG, have all the bleeding hearts come to the porn industry now? Is there someone at the door to this industry giving out beanie babies or something? ;)

"Driving" a car that's basically coasting on its own weight across the street, I'd guess has about the same amount of chance to hurt/kill/maim someone as riding a bicycle. Less perhaps. I would ride a bike a lot harder than I coast across the street with no insurance, for certain.

So, do you people have bicycle insurance? What if you kill someone?

Canadians these days.

I have boat insurance on a small tiny little fishing boat that has yet to even enter the water. Policy renewal came today. Good news is my premium is down and it has a dissapearing deductable, so in three more years no more decutable.
