Right NOW!! 100% Free tube site installs on your domain

Ok, since I've spent the last two days talking insane crap to people I figured I need
to do some work.

So anyone with a domain name who wants me to do the install of tubecgi free version
hit me up with you server(FTP login) info and I will do it today.

If you don't have a domain yet then buy one today and hit me up now and I
will install when your domain is live.

hit me up at "tube at econfirmpro dot com".

Of course you can do the install yourself also.

Porn Ass 08-30-2008 02:42 PM

maybe making some actual install instructions to include with the free script would be a starting point lol

There is a video on the website with complete install instructions plus if
you click on the link that says "installation" there is a page with the install instrcutions
on it too.

Go to the bottom of the page for the install video at http://tubecgi.com

It says demonstration video so I should change that to install video.

klaze 08-30-2008 03:06 PM

Why's it called CGI???

Can I easily template it with my own graphics?

CGI mean "common gate interface" and it's just a name used by the techies who
came up with the way to run programs on webservers.

Doesn't mean much after that.

You can easily customize this script. It has templates that you can edit thru the
script. you can even save different templates and recall them when you like.

Customizing can get tedious but that's just web design.

I uploaded everything but you need to get your host to install PERL libwww

that's pretty easy to do for them and then I can finish.

Babaganoosh 08-30-2008 04:14 PM

I've noticed you were a little on the pissy side over the last few days. You always talk shit but you seemed to be in an especially foul mood lately. I've been meaning to start shit with you but I have been busy with other idiots lately. You're on the schedule. I'll get to you as soon as I can.

The fact that you are a perl geek too makes me keep delaying picking a fight with you. It's nice to see someone who doesn't back down to the "php is better than CGI" idiots. Just because they don't understand Perl doesn't make it inferior. I always want to point out that CGI isn't a language. :thumbsup

I will if you can get Jack Daniels to make that stuff a lot weaker. :1orglaugh

Yeah, those php freaks don't know that php is a cgi script written in C
and perl is also written in C .

Anyone doing php and thinking the are not cgi is asleep at the wheel. :1orglaugh

Once dumb info gets out there it sticks to some people like glue.

PERL is more powerful than php; php was written for people who could not learn perl.

sortie 08-30-2008 04:26 PM

NOTE :

Please send your path to PERL also for the install.

Ever messed with Python? I think you're probably sharp enough to figure it out with ease. What a sexy language. I can't believe I waited so long to use it. I am almost done with a little video portal script for my own use that is written 100% in python with a sqlite backend. I did it just as a learning experience but it's too good to not actually use. Hell, if python is good enough for Google, it's certainly good enough for me. I almost like it as much as perl.

Never did anything with python.

The thing with PERL is that it's not a passing fancy like so much other stuff
that came out in the last 10 years so it's always going to work on webservers.

I don't want to develope a site with something and then down the road it becomes out
of fancy and the hosting companies don't want to deal with it anymore and then I'm stuck
redoing it in some other languge.

There was a time when you had to find a host that had php; some hosting people back
then just blew you off and wouldn't install php.
They probably blew themselves out of business that way.

The only advantage I have seen in new programming languages is that they make some
functions easier to program. But if you've written as much code as I have then I
just copy and paste and it's faster for me that way.

To the user/surfer it doesn't make a damn what kind of script is running on the server
so it's all about how the programmer likes to do things really.

3xTom 08-30-2008 05:00 PM

your sites down

Babaganoosh 08-30-2008 05:04 PM

Perl has been around since 1987. Python has been around since 1991. It's not going anywhere either. Lately I have been having a ton of issues with hosts not having basic perl modules installed (like libwww or URI) and they almost never have image::magick. I love perl but I have my doubts about its future. Python has gotten pretty popular over the last few years. No idea why but it has.

Yep, it's back up now but still kind of slow.

Maybe somebody don't want any free tube scripts given away. :1orglaugh

In any event my server can be down and I can still do the install for you no problem.

And if I find out someone is goffing with things then I will sit here and do 3000 fucking
free installs to fix that shit.

sortie 08-30-2008 05:17 PM

My script will work on all your servers wether my server is down or not.

Hi, I have sent you an email!!

Your kinky house wife site is redirecting every request to the cgi-bin so I can't execute your install.

Your other domain does not have a cgi-bin and If I create it will not work correctly on
some servers. You host needs to setup the cgi-bin.

Cut off all the popups and redirects and fix the cgi-bin and then I can do something.

.:R I O:. 08-30-2008 08:00 PM

bump for a good tube script

WWC 08-31-2008 12:18 AM

And i can take care of all the content ;-)

Nice offer Sortie!

sortie 08-31-2008 09:10 AM

Alright, hit me up now for installs before I get lazy!!!

Make sure your server has imagemagick(perlmagick) and perl libwww installed :

If this little script can't run on you server then I can't complete your install :

Quote:

#!/usr/bin/perl

use Image::Magick;
use LWP;
use LWP::Simple;
use URI::Escape;
require LWP::UserAgent;
use HTTP::Request::Common;
use MIME::Base64;
require HTTP::Headers;

print "content-type: text/html\n\n";

print "Hurray!";

exit;
BTW : during the 10 years I've done this, if there was a host that had problems
installing perl libwww and I ended up doing it myself, every single one of them were
eventually hacked out of business.

It's a sign of poor tech support which can mean insecure servers etc...

Phatservers has everything my script needs without even asking on their cheapest
accounts.

And if they just added a new server that doesn't have everything then email them
and it will be fixed in a matter of minutes.

I asked why it's called CGI to try and start a CGI argument.

Maybe morons like you should take a break from the internet and get some sun... How old are you like 17?

Wow, nice offer.

Jim_Gunn 08-31-2008 04:28 PM

Sortie, I have a great domain I want to put a tube on on my Phatservers virtual hosting. I just can't figure out how to successfully add a temporary ftp account in the DirectAdmin interface. I am going to email support and see if they can help me with that and I will email you a user i.d. & pass directly. Thanks!

Jim_Gunn 08-31-2008 04:47 PM

Sortie, I figured it out myself. I created a user id and pass for the ftp and emailed you the info.

Thanks, bro. I guess I have a new project for my employee to work on this week!

Jim_Gunn 08-31-2008 05:47 PM

Hmm, went through steps 1-5 as best I can without actually uploading any videos. I don't see anything on my domain yet however. Maybe I missed something.

selena 08-31-2008 10:54 PM

Okay, I have a question, and Scout's honor, I am not trying to start shit.

But I am hosted on Phatservers and have a domain I specifically bought for a tube site.

What is the difference between this script, and the other one often mentioned on the board?

I'm clueless about either one of them.
