C4S Store Owners: Step Inside
It's been more than 48 hours. Are our banners, and graphics back up?
:helpme |
Apparently not - do you know why they took them offline? Clips4Sale doing some strange things last couple of months, not sure if they're on the right course :helpme
|
Nope. I have a strange feeling they might not go back either. It's only the clickable banners, because they header on this store:
13761 is still there, since it was never clickable. I just removed the url source from this store:Maitresse and the image returned. Get the feeling they are trying to keep traffic on the site? That's fine, as long as they develop an affiliate program. If not, then I've got a problem not benefitting from the traffic I send to my own stores, by being able to send it to my own sites. |
also, have you noticed the "advertise" section in the new admin? It's not live but they want, so I'm going to hope that the prices they quote for traffic there are not real.

I sent them an e-mail 4 hours ago. Have not heard what up. I know they are, or have been, working on their new platform. I still use the old one. I do not need all that bullshit on the new one for most of what I do. Nice bells and whistles for some I suppose. I'll look more into it, and new tools when I have time. Right now, things are peachy. Other than this little bump. |
Haha, they're talking about an affiliate program since years - would be cool but i don't expact it (yet) oO

I get traffic to my OWN shit. So I should also be able to promote my main paysite, and network. But you might be on to something there. I know that a year or so back they added in a filter to thier e-mail/newsletter that would take out any mention of other websites. I had to fight for two months to get it (my sites) past the filter so I could send out my standard e-mail. My guess is there are more abusers doing something C4S is trying to rectify. i.e. growing pains. |

I want to keep my 60/40 split thanks. :2 cents: |

Something about you being able to buy traffic directly from them, and they were working out some kind of promo feature. I can't recall off the top of my head what that announcement was, but it came out around the time they launched that new admin. |

I am not going to "leave money on the table" and use their low ranking (compared to C4S) site just to get my 40%, and then give them a license to use my material on their VOD or whatever it was. Oh yeah, and they PROMISE to remove it should I close my store. Yeah right. :disgust |

It's good exposure too. I'm getting a lot of new customers because of it. |

You are one of the more recognized C4S people/store owners from the GFY. As I've said in similar threads on this topic. I refuse to give a larger percentage to a company with the "promise" of more exposure or money. Clips.com or whatever have been around years now. They have yet to get close to the success, traffic, or rank of C4S during that time. I have thought about trying them twice. Looked at their license agreement. Laughed. Shredded it. Not a chance. |

The movie side of it is a piece of cake, really,. You mail them a dvd of your content, and they create the artwork, do the writeups, etc. In my first month of having my whitelabel VOD, I made twice of what I did on c4s in the first month of a new store launch, (even with other successful c4s stores feeding it traffic). I didn't send it any traffic the first month, intentionally, to see what the result would be as a content provider. I made a larger number of sales with a smaller payout, which ended up being more money. If you don't like the contract, that's another matter though, and I'd have to respect that. |
DC,
That's good feedback. It doesn't change my opinion on Clips/Movies. Others have had success with some other platforms mentioned in other C4S threads that might be worth a look. But I appreciate you taking the time to write that out. Thanks for taking the time buddy. :thumbsup |

My banner and links are still missing and I am not too pleased about it. I also have sent some traffic directly to my C4S store knowing that I had links to my sites & blogs on the store page.

I sent another e-mail. This time to Neil directly. Hopefully someone let's us know what is going on. The 48 hours is one thing, and an inconvenience. I see a difference in sales numbers. I have been doing updates all week. But it's gotta be 3-4 days now since that notice, and it is NOT changed back. :disgust |
I believe they are checking for backlinks. Somewhere in the new admin I saw something stated with an asteric that backlinks are reqiured.

I'll look in the new admin here in a sec. |

Read through the tutorial, and every where I could click. I did not see anything about backlinks, but, as I said. I have tons. So I am not worried about that shit.

Looks like they are working on a new ad platform. The tutorial was entertaining. If Jimmy Gunn and his gf posted an hour of toe sex clips per day.... :winkwink: |
I hope this is just a bump, like they said. Got lots of links back to my C4S stores. Even got a small army of SEO pages going directly there. With more bought and being spread across different class c's. :(

However, I am sure there are people/companies trying to game the system. |

how have your sales been today, mine have blown.

For those who do not know how to do HTML, they have a 'Dummie" function. People can upload their banner, and then the asterick "* Optional Requires a link back to your store " Looks like there is one for the top, and bottom, banner. |

I actually had to crank back up, and update, my TGP and tube. Then threw some traffic at them. Kinda weird fo sho. Not worried. The month always balances out, but it has been a noticeable on sales front. Hun listed, plus some other key places, traffic has not dropped. Just one of those weeks. |

Who are you trying to kid? C4S sends you WAY more traffic than you send to your store. They have been protecting their traffic for a long time, it just took them till now to get to you. Over a year ago they banned the ccbill.com string (ie: refer.ccbill.com) and will block outgoing links on new stores as they review them.
If you're so concerned about having full use of your traffic, then set up your own store using the phantom script. Personally, C4S sends me some lovely targeted traffic, and I dont care to fuck it up. |
Quote:
For starters, I have been with them 4-5 years. So my stores are not new. I have thousands of links to my store via submits, among other things. Not to mean outright traffic. You have no clue what you are talking about, which is not surprise on GFY. Just because you are lazy and rely solely on C4S traffic doesn't mean that all of us do. Maybe you should actually look at your traffic logs before you make such asinine statements toots. I think I know where mine comes from. But thanks for your concern. In the meantime, learn how to generate your own. :disgust |
You're such a fraud
