Why does Sarah Palin need to spend $150,000

of campaign contributions on clothes in the last 2 months?

i guess she's just showing how she and mccain are in touch with the middle class and all the plumber joes... :1orglaugh

whats your opinion on this Mr. Sintinkyfingerzzzz?

Odin 10-22-2008 08:18 PM

Because American's vote on stupid issues, like if they think she is hot. Thus by buying clothes to look hot, she gets more votes. It is more the American publics fault than anything.

AmeliaG 10-22-2008 08:37 PM

Because that is what it costs to make a woman in her 40's look hot enough that none of y'all can have a thread about her without noting her hotness.

Supz 10-22-2008 08:54 PM

because she has the wardrobe of a crab fisherman

What about her daughter Piper's $750 Louis Vuitton bag? Why does a 7 year old need such things?

IllTestYourGirls 10-22-2008 09:34 PM

So the democrats would have something to talk about besides real issues Americans are facing because they, like the republicans have no answers to real problems.

I want to preface this with the fact that I think Palin is a blithering moron.

but...

I don't see the problem with this... politics is based in large part on appearance. I think it would have been silly to not have her appear before the world in style. not that it helped.

also, I bet mcain and obama spent about the same or more. figure $2k a suit.. 75 suits for $150k... 75 different suits for a campaign doesn't seem unreasonable to me.

Corleone 10-22-2008 11:52 PM

thats alot of money for clothes .. damn ..

woj 10-23-2008 12:38 AM

most people don't spend that much in their lifetime on clothes :1orglaugh

qxm 10-23-2008 12:41 AM

Actually I recall Obama doing a family interview on some show. He apparently does not like spending to much on clothing, and his wife is more apt to spend. However she often shops on a more frugal level.

I actually was curious when this would come out though. Nearly every clip I have seen of her giving a speech, at a rally, or whatever. She has been wearing high end designer clothing. Hell that was one of the things people were talking about after her debate. I suppose you could justify it some- not easily in today's economy but well I am sure people can. However I do not see how anyone could justify the same level of clothing for her kids.

Because a whore should always be presentable.

PSSuperstars 10-23-2008 01:09 AM

They're trying to save it by saying it's going to charity..
BUT..
150k could've bought A LOT more suits to give to charity if they'd have got them from Macy's INC or something.. which is just as nice and business-y.. It just doesn't have a huge price tag on it..

And WHAT CHILD needs a Louis Vuitton bag?
I have no children and pay all my own bills and get along perfectly fine... but would NEVER, EVER, EVER spend that much on a bag.

AND... That's like 2 coach bags...
THe rednecks she appeals to would appreciate the coach bags even more. lol

"Senator Obama was doing press interviews by telephone in a holding room between events. Sometime later as he was getting ready to begin his event, he asked me if I was photographing his shoes. When I said yes, he told me that he had already had them resoled once since he entered the race a year earlier. Providence, R.I., 3/1/2008."

Who runs McCain's campaign? The same people that thought Palin was a great choice for VP must think that it's money well spent. They're trying to win a campaign. I would have just hoped that it actually helped, if I was donating money to that campaign. I don't think it's working.

wow... what a hypocritical, materialistic douchebox

contributing republicans should be pissed about this, especially about her using your money to buy her 7yr old a designer purse. HAHAHA SUCKAS!!

After Shock Media 10-23-2008 04:10 AM

Curious if anyone has done the math since everything she has done was pretty well documented. How many rallys, interviews, and public appearances has she done up to the dates listed in those documents?

I really do not care about her spending the money, just very curious to see the average amount in clothing per appearance.
