Hubby and I gave $100 to the newspaper dude this weekend... told him to make sure to go to Boston Market and buy dinner :) We do it every year.

The guys who sell the papers on the weekends on the street here are usually ex vets... so on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.. we go pick a random one and give him $100

Maybe go pick a random dude and do that.

Or go buy dinner at a women's shelter.

Tala was taking donations because she was broke. She was getting epass donations because she moved and was homeless, then flaked after she gathered some money. I know of a few people that gave her $1k+

Ditto. I didn't give her that much money but still. The couple of times I have helped people out on GFY have bitten me in the ass. They either turn out like Tala or hang around and act like arrogant, ungrateful little pricks to those who were kind enough to help them in their time of need.
