are israel supposed to be lesbians? it looks like they are romancing and serenading each other like lovers?

bausch 05-15-2009 05:48 AM

I also like Romanian "Balkan Girls Like to Party"

I like Iceland's song because its dramatic and sad but the vocals dont blow me away. its not like American Idol caliber or anything but its decent

There are only a very few things I hate, but Eurovision is one of them. Even worse than a Bryan Adams day on MTV.

mineistaken 05-15-2009 07:46 AM

Low taste contest, I don't watch it. And its funny how its a "big thing" in some of the participating countries, like its olympics of something LOL

just a punk 05-15-2009 07:49 AM

I liked this one:

Check this URL for a HD version: https://youtube.com/watch?v=LIzYqFewvAs

So I will vote for Estonia :pimp

P.S. Anybody else liked this song, or I'm the only one here?

Estonia was good , the song had an Enya like quality to it... I like cornier/cheesier songs... like Balkan Girls like to party from Romania

I understood :) Actually I also don't like pop music - it's just not mine. However, sometimes you can find a really good song even on Eurovision. I believe the Estonian song is the exactly right example. I found it really magnificent. And you know, nothing happens w/o a reason in our life. When I googled the name of Estonian group (Urban Symphony), I found that they were gathered together to make a stringed cover on Metallica's "The Nothing Else Matters". I believe that the people who love Metallica can't play a bullshit music :2 cents:

Bossman 05-15-2009 08:08 AM

The one from Denmark is growing on me... the singer looked/sounded nervous, but after listing to the different songs in the background today, then its one of the best :thumbsup

Really? I think Eurovision is one of the best things about Europe.. I'm sad we can only watch it on-line in the U.S and not on actual tv... Its the most awesome show ever...

Кстати, за чью команду болела в прошедшем на чемпионате мира по хоккею?

As far as I understood, one of them is Israeli (Jewish) and the second one is Arab. Actually, this is a very funny side of Eurovision 2009. Lithuanian and Latvian performers were singing in Russian. Russian performer is a citizen of Ukraine with a song written by Georgian. Belarussian guy was singing for Norway etc. Personally I like this tendency, because now the ppl will vote a bit more fair. They'll vote not for their "friendly countries" but for just a good song/singer. At least hope so.

just a punk 05-16-2009 03:14 AM

Up ---^

Who's gonna vote today? :)

I had a feeling this was the story behind the Israel performance... At first I thought they were lesbians because they were lovingly gazing into each others eyes while holding hands and of course I had no idea what they were singing...

I also like Finland.. That's classic Euro dance pop right there...

Roby 05-16-2009 05:14 AM

Ukrain is good !!!

michel 05-16-2009 05:42 AM

voa 05-16-2009 05:47 AM
