I'm considering developing CamGirls.com but ideally I'm looking for a big site or network to team up with. You'd get a percentage of profits based on how much traffic you can send.

2,000 clicks/day = 5% of profits
5,000 clicks/day = 12.5% of profits
10,000 clicks/day = 25% of profits
20,000 clicks/day = 50% of profits

What's so great about that? Your cut continues for 20 years. If CamGirls.com gets 20% as large as Cams.com, with 50 camgirls online, which many cam sites have achieved, profit would be around $1 million per month.

You're "considering" developing camgirls.com? You paid 350k for a domain, and have yet to come up with any kind of plan. You're most likely going to have a while before you even turn a profit, if ever, how long should the person sending traffic wait to get a payment? You keep referring to cams.com revenue from their ipo, but you failed to look at all the debt they accumulated.

What you should do is start branding that good domain name that you purchased instead of sending traffic to another domain name...like webcams.com

Make a cool logo, and use one of the good white labels available...and keep your traffic. Let people start to remember your domain name.

As far as traffic, you can purchase spots, buy hardlinks, and traffic. Bottom line is you paid for a great domain name so you should at least promote that name. :2 cents:

I really don't see cams ever fading, human interaction will always be marketable. Only difference now is that there are at least 2 dozen cam sponsors to compete with vs the 3 or 4 from 8-10 years ago. Unless you have a big budget, some sort of niche or competitive advantage, its going to be difficult to come onto the scene as a new cam sponsor and generate significant affiliate traffic.

At VideoSecrets I made 10 cents per targetted type in. A click through on a banner is roughly as targetted, similar value.

20,000 clicks a day = $2,000 per day = $700K per year

So a website using a cams banner getting 20,000 clicks a day should make just under $1m a year.

Say CamGirls.com within the 20 year contract has 100 camgirls online, yearly profit would be about $20 million.

So for your investment you would get $10 million per year.

Why would a big site owner want anything to do with you?

with the new HD cams hitting the market cams sites wont be going anywhere anytime soon, the minute i got an HD cam my sales doubled over night. These guys are eating it up more then i have seen in the 5 years I have been doing cams, the last 4 years has been on cams.com

what this guy should have done is bought a generic URL for a cam site and put 350k in launching it, you would be alot further. Im sure you can find a buyer for it, even if you take a loss on the domain, you would still have enough money to see your dream. You could hire a couple people who know what they are doing and get a bit of girls for 300k, it would atleast be a good start. If you have another 350k even better put it into the cam site.
