Live video/chat feeds....

WTF do I need? Computer, Camera, Internet connection.

Duh....

How do I make it all come together on a web page?

Yeah, I know this is basic for a lot of you but I have never set this up before.

Talk to me.

Thx

Cohen 12-12-2002 07:08 PM

I already spammed my website 3 times today, but you can do it all at www.danishsexzone.com . you can even edit the footage online after the show, and use it as "on demand clips" later.

Im on I-c.q 175775304 if you need help

I am lost. What does this have to do with my question?

I do not want a service. I want to link a webcam to a website.

AaronM 12-12-2002 07:18 PM

And not somebody elses webcam. I have the cam.

Cohen 12-12-2002 07:22 PM

- You buy a PC
- You buy a Cam
- You get a internet connection
- You sign up at my site as an "artist"
- You follow the instruction on the site and point the cam at our server
- You get your "ovn site" on our server
- You schedule a show
- You do a JC with BoneProne
- Your surfers run away, but still pay
- You edit the content online and sell it to Archer
- *Bling-Bling*

Repeat again

boneprone 12-12-2002 07:25 PM

Ive been doing the live webcam thing for months.

Jesuscams Fucking Rocks!

Pipecrew 12-12-2002 07:25 PM

I was just thinking of a similar thing lastnight! aaron if you make this, I will defintly want to use it!

Cohen 12-12-2002 07:25 PM

OR you can buy a little webcam (or mpeg server if you want dvd quality) and rent a space on a "multicast server"
Point the cam to the multicast server, and it will handle the access from all the surfers

DrGuile 12-12-2002 07:30 PM

UncleJimmy 12-12-2002 07:36 PM

AaronM 12-12-2002 07:45 PM

I will contact Pete.

Pipecrew 12-12-2002 07:47 PM

Well then fucking design your site so that it is clear what you are selling. To me it looks like you are either offering feeds or trying to add me to your network or buy my content.

None of that is wha t I want or need. I would be interested in a service that can do what you are saying but without the other bullshit.

TheFLY 12-12-2002 07:55 PM

Well if you try to broadcast from your home machine, there's a limit to the # of users that can see the cam... You can do this easy w/ WebcamXP, and I think the "pro" version MAY have an option where you can upload batches of images that are quickly rotated by a flash script, but I never bought the pro version so I'm not exactly sure how that works...

But as far as I can tell -- if you want to do this the "right" way you need to have Windows Media Encoder running on your machine -- AND you need a Windows Media server on the other end (your host would probably set this up for a large $$$ fee) -- to broadcast the cam stream... So it's not a simple operation. But I'm pretty sure if you got WebcamXP pro set up you could play around... on my DSL connection I was able to entertain about 40 guys at a time... it's amazing how even a slow frame rate will keep people interested...

We are now on the right track. I hae the model and everything including a standard web server. I just need to know how to connect it all.

TheFLY 12-12-2002 07:59 PM

AaronM the reason these guys can get so many people on their "network" is because setting up the Windows Media Encoder broadcast shit is a pain in the ass. Most admins I know hate Windows anyway hehe... I have no idea how much it would cost to set up a streaming cam broadcast server...

You can rent space on this type of server? That sounds interesting, but what are the drawbacks?

ohhh..:( forgot to tell you it will launch in Jan/2003 at Internext. Im just beta testing right now. I have tryed to get Amp to design a frontpage, but then all the stuff with the moving and fighting cam along and fucked it up. But our own designers will make the spalsh pages + the intro.
If you can wait that long (2-3 weeks) hit me up on icq then.

TheFLY 12-12-2002 08:01 PM

Also you may want to look into this... I think OliverKlozov.com uses these...

http://www.axis.com/products/camera_...roductlist.htm

some_idiot 12-12-2002 08:04 PM

Hit me up.... 176592333

I can bring my client/server code off the shelf for
another run.

I put the Fabulous Forum strip club online in 1996, and worked on the code until about 2001.

I've got a test link up that you can look at.

Combining all the elements is fairly easy. My solution
is custom, but an old pentium running FreeBSD with
the cheapest BT848 capture card will work just fine
for a couple 100 clients at a time.

and the price sux. The owner of the server have to buy the licens for the connected clients (surfers) for EACH online user.
Punch in a licencode and you get xxx free channels.
If you get more hits, you need to buy more licences.

A way around that is to use Realplayer.
I hate realplayer, but its VERY cheap, and run BOTH on linux/freebsd and Microsoft

TheFLY 12-12-2002 08:05 PM

Yeah who would think just putting a cam stream on the net would be such a pain in the ass...

Im using AXIS 2120 Network Camera , Its pretty good, but if you need sound, I would recomend the Mpegserver, and connect it to a standart analog cam + mic. A little more expensive, but you get DVD quality(but you only need that if you want to keep the content for later use)

Cohen 12-12-2002 08:15 PM

You can test my cam at http://213.237.14.22:22

its the axis 2120

play around with it, se if you can screw it up .. there is no password on it, so have fun :thumbsup

Then I would look at this baby http://www.axis.com/products/cam_250s/index.htm

- One Standart analog cam (around $100)
- The Mpeg server above
- A microphone
- Plug it directly to your lan/internet
- Point it to a multicast server
- and you are on :thumbsup

AaronM 12-12-2002 08:23 PM

You gonna go play in front of that camera or what? :glugglug

Cohen 12-12-2002 08:25 PM

psyko514 12-12-2002 08:25 PM

Not familiar with that.

psyko514 12-12-2002 08:28 PM

http://www.camwhores.com/

AaronM 12-12-2002 08:29 PM

See this page? http://213.237.14.22:22/view/index.shtml

That is what I want..Assuming that it is full motion video and I can add audio as well as record the feeds for archives. Add to that any basic chat script on the side of the video stream and I am a happy man.

I kinda figured that. Thanks for the clarification.

Now what the fuck is it? Another cam network? That is not what I am in need of or what I am trying to do.

One girl, one feed, one web site.
