District 9 Movie... EXCELLENT!

we went to see it last night, and WOW!
One of my clients had recommended it (thanks, Derrick), and after watching the trailer I couldn't wait to go to the movies. Indeed, an excellent movie, highly recommended.

It was well-done and an enjoyable movie, but like many movies, didn't live up to all the hype surrounding it.

Great movie. Best film of the year for me. Lots of good messages in it as well as seamless SFX. I just got the Bluray in the mail.

do go watch it at the theater if it's still playing in your area. It came out in October so it may be off the charts in some countries already, though.
It's excellent, the best of the year. It kicked 2012's butt big time.

saw the movie on a scale from 1 to 10 of SF movies where 1 is the best I would place it on 5 probably 6....

Moon was just okay for me. I appreciated his performance but wasn't all that blown away by it and had felt that I had seen that sort of story line before. That said, I don't think there has been much serious cinema sci-fi competition over the past 5 years.
