Interesting fact...Out of all the very wealthy people I know only 1 is a University graduate.

I Have a masters in Artificial intelligence and computer science but can't decide If learned more doing business or University!
|
Yes.
It changed a number of times from my first year(s) and what I have originally planned. But in the end, it was a B.A. in, Communications (Major), Mass Media (minor). :thumbsup |
uni is a waste of fucking time. it teaches you how to think like everyone else. in business you have to have a hustlers mentality and people who go to uni for the majority do not have that mentality.
|
the best is people who go to uni and think they are guaranteed a good job. people do not give a fuck about that piece of paper these days they only care if you can make them $$$$$$$
|

Had to drop out of high school my junior year, due to external circumstances; not that I feel I missed out on anything. Took some time to crawl up to where I had some capital to invest, but today I've earned more than anyone I know. Probably not because I'm the smartest or the hardest working, but because I didn't get distracted by dumb shit.

You can almost always tell if someone is university educated versus someone who isnt..... its just so obvious and it does impact upon the quality of life you have. I hate to break it to the nay sayers but its a fact. Sarah didnt need to tell me she about her sociology/politics degree for me to know she's done some higher education. On the other hand, I can tell you hands down (without knowing for a fact) that ScottMcD is not a university graduate. |

Overall though, its way better to have a university education than not..... that should be obvious. |
For around a week or so... boring.
|
I went to Purdue : )

i did a 4 year honors degree in genetics, with a minor in philosophy. i worked for a year in a university genetics lab in my 4th year, planning on doing a masters, but decided it just wasn't for me. by year 4, i'd started some avs sites, and never looked back. the rest is history. |

they work a 9-5 and like to talk about philosophy way to much. i mean to spend all that cash to answer a question with a question is really worth it. i taught myself everything i know, at 15 i was learning business. i have never read a book for my field or a manual i never needed to. i am so far ahead of people in this field that went to school it is not even funny. was i supposed to go to school and go backwards just to have a piece of paper? why cant you people just admit it is a waste of time? so she has a sociology/politics degree to work in the adult field? i do not follow. |

to many people who i know who went to university have the same track of mind. they are unable to think outside the box. to many of them have the exact same opinions as their professor. if anything this recession has taught me how right i am. your degree is no backup. people like to think it is but you are not guaranteed anything with it. the people that not only survive and thrive in these times are the people who have creativity and school cannot teach you that. if you went and enjoyed it then good for you, i maybe would take a class oneday. but to many people with one talk as if it is a guarantee or they have that elitist mentality that they are somehow better because of a paper. |
