Should I let my gf go to Mardi Gras?
 

so here's the deal...my gf wants to go to mardi gras this year, next month. i say no way, she says she has every right to experience it. i have no reason not to trust her, but i think that environment is a recipe for disaster. am i being over zealous? we've been together for quite a long while...as i said she's been good to me so far, so forget it and swallow my pride?

Seems kind of wierd that she would want to go without you. That place is just like Vegas... what happens there stays there if you know what I mean.

Would she go alone or with friends?

she'd be going with friends. i can't go, don't have the time to take away from work. they are her guy friends(i don't think its like that) so i know they are going to be looking for an amazing time. i just would hate to see something happen to her and i can't get to her/help her from miami

Have you met the guys? Are THEY good guys? Are THEY trustworthy? If they don't seem like the type that'll fuck her behind your back, maybe THEY'LL even look out for her. Keep in mind that with a little alcohol in them and tits being flashed in their face all night, their "intentions" could change as well.

Tell her you WERE able to get off work and want to go with her. If she gets excited, she's good to go alone. If she's at all reticent, be wary.

At the end of the day, you're the man, she's the woman. If you don't want her to go, she doesn't go. End of story.
