DENMARK this is a big shame on you.
The sea below is stained in red not because of climate change and its effects to the envirnoment and its inhabitants.

This is the result of the cruelty by human beings (supposedly civilized).

Annually, in the name of "tradition", the local community of Faroe Islands Denmark, drive the dolphins into capture and kill hundreds of these famous and intelligent Calderon dolphins to the apathy of spectators.

This happens every year in Faroe island in Denmark and is done mainly by youngsters.

The dolphins don?t die instantly; they are cut 1, 2 or 3 times with thick hooks and blades to reach their spinal cord. And every time the dolphins produce an extremely grim cry, compatible with the cry of a new born child until they die in their own blood.

In this big cultural "celebration" everyone is participating, in one way or the other, killing or watching this cruelty -apathetic, ?supporting" as spectators.

Take note of the number of impressionable young children witnessing this slaughter...
And we are SURPRISED OF THE VIOLENCE SPIRALLING IN CHILDREN and YOUNG ADULTS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD?
IS THIS THE EXAMPLE ADULTS ARE ALLOWING TO BE SET ?!

TORTURE IS NOT CULTURE.

"Cruelty has cursed the human family for countless ages. It is impossible for one to be cruel to animals and kind to humans. If children are permitted to be cruel to their pets and other animals, they easily learn to get the same pleasure from the misery of fellow humans. Such tendencies can easily lead to crime" - A Mc Gran 1895.

The Health Authorities in the Faroes have recently issued a recommendation against eating the meat and blubber from the pilot whales, due to the fact that the whales are contaminated with various heavy metals and POPs causing a threat to PUBLIC HEALTH and yet this slaughter continues.? !

This is unacceptable behaviour.
Please sign the petition on this page and send this to your network so as to help drive and ELIMINATE THIS BEHAVIOUR OFF THE FACE OF OUR PLANET.

Take care of the world and RESPECT all of its life, - it is our home!

Bunch of barbarians...

Splendorous_Male 04-14-2010 06:27 AM

WTF? Are they doing it for food?

Arnox 04-14-2010 06:40 AM

So the billions of sheep, cows and chickens that are kept in captivity and a created solely for our consumption every year are nothing compared to the 300 or so whales that live their whole lives in free waters before being killed for the exact same reasons?

The idiocy of some people astounds me. Just another attempt by animal rights protesters to evoke fear into people by producing shock images that really show nothing that hasn't been done for the billion+- years of life forms existing.

TeenCat 04-14-2010 06:47 AM

the hunters are animals

trishauptown 04-14-2010 07:09 AM

Indeed, but imho they didn't deserve to be called "hunters"...real hunter shows respect for the wild thing.

Please sir, dont come in this thread with any type of perspective or common since. It is not needed and certainly not wanted. You may however reply with simple, emotion invoking responses such as "Cock Suckers, I hope they rot in hell, someone should do that to them and see how they like it" etc, etc .
Thanks for understanding

Sid70 04-14-2010 07:35 AM

Ya, they say its free meat. Fucking hard to believe they are Denmark territory.

alexchechs 04-14-2010 07:55 AM

This is one of the sickest and most horrible traditions. It must be stopped...

slayer69 04-14-2010 07:56 AM

blood bath

pornguy 04-14-2010 07:59 AM

Ohh I had no idea those were being hunted/killed to fill the bellys of people.

NOTE: its a TRADITION not a business that breeds them..

Sadly I dont think that sheep and cattle are slices 3 times and allowed to die over a period of time.. Amazingly I know for a FACT that in the US for cattle at least it happens so damn fast they dont even know what hit them.

Jman 04-14-2010 08:00 AM

Let'S make a tradition, every year we gather people go to denmark and start hooking some Danish in that crowd threw the Spine

TurboAngel 04-14-2010 08:04 AM

I wish I hadn't seen that.

Clearly, these dolphins are not that intelligent because they fall for it every year.

Tom_PM 04-14-2010 08:23 AM

Bow and Arrow in the woods hunting for food is "the thrill of the hunt" Using nets and ships to lure dolphins to their death is a pussy ass thing to do.

2012 04-14-2010 09:44 AM

Yep, when I was a kid I remember going to the slaughter houses in Iowa, they were walking up to cows and pigs and slamming a sledge hammer down on their head (Now replaced by automatic pistons that do this), slicing the throats, and then hanging them upside down..
they had shot guns on the walls in case you missed so that you could put the animal out fast..

Pretty crazy, but this is what happens all over the place.. the dolphins and whales are cute, but they are a part of these peoples culture.. just like the native indians who can still hunt certain whales.. everyone joins in on it.. and it is a part of their local economy, can you blame someone for wanting to take care of their own?

Not that I like seeing it, its pretty fucking gross looking.. However, I just don't think that the original post is as accurate about how barbaric it is.. The onlookers are probably happy to know they will be getting food and a economic infusion.

Niktamer 04-14-2010 10:32 AM
