FACT: No One Was Called a Scammer
 

Enough already.

No matter how many times you repeat it, or how you try and bend it to what you want it to mean, or bridge two distant points no one was called a scammer. At best, based on the series of events THAT DAY the original post may have inferred he was a fake nick.

Under the logic being used in these threads, if some one like tony parra (sorry tony), who has said he works at Subway (or fast food in general) had a thread started about him with his name in the title, and someone posted a picture of the Batts at McDonalds pictures to imply he was a fast food worker he could say you are trying to call him Batts and a scammer.

Based on the events that day in regards to BigDeanEvans, Splenderous_Male banning, the Batts ICQ's an hour after being banned, the remarks BDE made towards me that day (without proof mind you), and a nick with no sig nor contact information it most people could take those series of coincidences and inferred the same. A fake nick.

Even if you look at the subject header, what does it imply? A fake nick. Not that anyone is a scammer, nor anything else. The circumstance again, ON THE DAY, were a whole hell of a lot more convincing then THIS THREAD where people were accusing me of being a fake nick, and saying shit without any proof. Should they all be banned? No one was.

Just because you want to go that extra mile in word association games and saying "Batts" is, or his name in any reference on GFY, means "scam" does not make it so. That's your own personal business and opinion. Not everyone knows who Batts is, nor his history here.

Additionally, I explained that based on the circumstances that day, and time line, how the opinion on the fake nick came to be. I apologized to him. Yet he, and a handful of others, keep beating this war drum saying these things that frankly are not true in regards to scammer references, and what not. None of that was ever inferred from that post, or any remarks I have ever said in regards to BigDeanEvans. Maybe if I had a history of saying things in that regard to him or about his business, someone could make that association. But there isn't.

Lastly, there are many who do not like me. That's fine. There are plenty of people I do not like on the boards myself. Nor will they ever do business with me, or I with them. You have the option to put me on ignore, or use that F.F. plug in so you do not see myself or my posts on GFY.

Have things gotten out of hand at times? Sure. Have I messed up at times? Everyone has. However, I apologized publicly for my mistakes, and meant it. If someone does not want to accept that apology, fine. However, this twisting of the issue is really getting out of hand. People, myself included, are getting tired of seeing my name daily on the front of GFY.

i didn't realize things had escalated to such a serious issue as to need a point/counter-point thread.

Exactly. Which is the same thing the mods, or anyone without an agenda or axe to grind, would see. They would see that I was implying/inferring/hinting he was a fake nick.

Until that day, and this posts toward me I had no idea who this nickname even was. If you look in the post history of him and myself, I have no running battle with this dude. He has not sig or contact information. So how would you know what he even does in this industry in the first place?

As I said in the O.P., based on events that day, the threads, the IM's, the ban, it is a bit more clear. Not a week and a half later when someone bumps that thread, and THEN wants to get huffy and say all these things that were not meant.

I apologized for the inferring he was a fake nick. Which was a lot more than I received when I was called a fake nick by Sleazy a few months back, and trolled for a week about it.

Whether you like me or not, the facts remain. No one was called a scammer.

Actually if you look at all these 'Barefootsies' threads and who are in them, and keep fanning the flames it becomes a bit more clear. Are there a few new names in there getting pissed off, and rightfully so? Sure.

It really came out of that other thread and my post, which I apologized for being inconsiderate and not thinking. I deserved my lumps for that one, and it's fine. I am more than willing to take them for that. I fucked up.

However, this SCAMMER bullshit and all these threads, and special rules crap really is nonsense at this point. The facts taken as a whole on the day reinforce the fake nick assumption. There is nothing else to infer anything about me calling someone a scammer since I know nothing about this guy or his business.

I would take a chill pill for a few days, get away from the boards - and examine myself a little more...

Ask yourself, do I act like a professional in my industry....

To infer, to me is the same as actually calling someone a scammer, etc.

1. My nick is John Smith
2. A true verified scammers nick is John Jones
3. You post a thread with the title - John Smith = John Jones

If you have any smarts at all you would know what ppl would think when they saw that..

That said, you do mean a week and a half later right? People were soooooo INFURIATED about that post that it took them a week and a half to react to it? Not repeated, even ONE POST reply! Especially on a slow weekend where it takes time for threads to fall off the front page?

People who do not like me will bend it into what they want to see. Someone objective looking at that day, and the threads where I am being attacked again on that day, the banning of that nick, the ICQ IM's from a supposed Batts, and a nick with no contact info or sig doing the same stuff Batts had done in the past would see things a bit more clearly, and objectively.

It has to do with the actual FACTS of the matter and series of events. Nothing more.

if someone were to call you batts, you would ask for proof, so follow your own words, you always ask for proof or you will get them banned. why not follow the same widsom.

im not hating or anything, or said you called him a scammer, but you can assume anything you want, but if you were in the other shoes, you always ask for proof, so next time someone calls you out and you ask for proof, maybe they dont have to provide any because you dont when the shoe is on the other foot.

Nope. Case in point.

You can try and make your case for what YOU think 'Batts' name in some thread means, and that everyone on the board thinks that means scammer. However, the FACT of the matter here was, BigDeanEvans was being called a FAKE NICK in CONTEXT of the day, thread, and series of events.

You can keep beating this war drum trying to muddy the water, but when all the FACTS of that day are laid out in front of someone without a vendetta, or agenda, they see it for what it was. No one was called a scammer. At best, a fake nick. Nothing more.

Your ASSumption of meaning to you is not me actually ACCUSING anyone.
