She is claiming the reason she did not make it back for court is because she is stuck in Cannes and can't find her passport!

The sad thing is she even had said she wasn't skipping them, that she was doing everything she was supposed to, etc. So even being so stupid as to tell lies that will be found out days later. WTF at Cannes was so important?

Given past history, I wouldn't be too worried if I were her either. She'll spend the max of one night in jail.

Would be interesting to see what one of this socialites would get if they actually caused harm to someone while drinking and driving.

And my thing has always been - don't they have enough money to hire a driver? I hate driving and I'm not rich, if I were, a driver would be one of my first luxuries.

They were just saying on the news that the judge will probably force Lindsay and her attorney to produce a plane ticket that shows she was scheduled to come back on time and that the only reason for her delay was her lost passport.

Also, supposedly, she never applied for a new passport, she just reported her stolen. By not applying for a new one she caused herself a lot of delays. Supposedly Lindsay is now saying that her dad paid someone to steal it so she would get in trouble.

The girl is crazy.

Probably not, however Cannes is not just a film festival, it is also a film marketplace. So if she is involved in a movie (she says she has been cast to play Linda Lovelace) the producers of the movie might take her around to meet distributors/investors/producers in a effort to build up a distribution network for he movie.
