Why did you bother making an account with them in the first place? :)

After reading all the threads about them,no way i was gonna waste my time with them.

I can only assume some people felt sorry for them.

ottopottomouse 08-03-2010 04:54 AM

Did you make any sales and are they robbing you of the rebills?

seeandsee 08-03-2010 05:10 AM

fucking tubes made fhgs too much content :)

NetHorse 08-03-2010 05:11 AM

I remember reading a thread where he asked affiliates to use less promotional material..

https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=975737

Honestly, he actually does make a valid point. Limiting my blogs to a few pictures and one short video increased my conversions over offering every piece of promotional material available to me.

However, on the same token, deactivating affiliate accounts because it is a bit ridiculous.

ghostshadow 08-03-2010 05:17 AM

Got the same email today. Just sent them a sale two or three days ago too. And yes, being robbed of any potential rebills. I gave up on them a couple months ago anyway since they don't actually give affiliates anything to use for promotional purposes. I don't see how hard it is to post maybe even just eight pics from new updates without any nudity so affiliates at least have something to promote without giving anything anyway. It's not rocket science. Give surfers something to peak their interest and show them there's fresh updates going on. They might as well just close their affiliate program.

Would be nice if there was a competent program to send black twins traffic to besides them.

The Dawg 08-03-2010 05:31 AM

Any other black twin sites out there?

area51 - BANNED FOR LIFE 08-03-2010 05:33 AM

I have heard of a number of people who send them sales getting there accounts "deactivated" and losing their rebills.

Scummy fucks.

Black Ops 08-03-2010 05:56 AM

At least he has policies. I don't agree with them but with everyone else failing, you just don't know who's going to be right in the long run.

TheDA 08-03-2010 05:59 AM

What was it they asked for again, no more than 4 galleries to be used at a time?

BlackCrayon 08-03-2010 06:02 AM

they'll soon be out of business with an attitude like that...oh wait this seems to be what everyone is doing these days. canning affiliates and keeping the sales...

brentbacardi 08-03-2010 06:26 AM

Well, I am not even really in the business of being an affiliate but I even know that his rule is no more than 4 FHGs and you can only keep up Holiday themed FHGs right around each holiday. So why would you sign up for him as an affiliate if you know that rule AND you know he goes ape shit over it by reading his posts on GFY?

He does have a very exclusive niche and this is how he wants to do it, so stop complaining. There are plenty of other affiliate programs out there and if you still really want his, just follow his rules.

Would you edit photos, or advertise in ways that werent allowed of other affiliates (not sure what they allow or dont for my examples lol) if you knew it was against the rules and would suspend your account just because you think its a better way to get sales? NO you wouldn't... or at least you wouldnt complain if you got suspended after they told you to fix it twice and you didn't....

Just saying :2 cents:

Not sure if it's what you're looking for but have a look at sisterreunion.com from Pretty in Cash

A lot of people had galleries and promotions up prior to the e-mail announcing the rule a few weeks back. Affiliates don't go back and pull content, they just don't. It's too time consuming and if affiliates needed to pull content every time a sponsor wanted to be a nitpick, nobody would make any money.

Yes, being the sponsor puts you in control and allows you to make the rules. But as a sponsor that wants affiliates, you need to understand and acknowledge that your affiliates have special requests and if you want them to continue promoting you (making you money), you need to hear them out and consider what they have to say. Being a dictator because you "own the content" will get you nowhere. If that's where you want to go, like this program seems to want, then that's your choice. Just don't cry when you are only making a couple grand a month when you should be making over five figures.

Despite the doom and gloom, affiliates are a very powerful tool that is very difficult to duplicate and should not be stomped on. Treat them right and it can make your life remarkably easier, and better.

rowan 08-03-2010 06:45 AM

I guess it's not really a surprise.

Now all we need is a global newsletter email listing affiliate IDs who have not complied (and the most 10 recent referers from each :1orglaugh )

rowan 08-03-2010 06:45 AM

Alphasky is going to end up locking down this program so tight that there will be no one to send any sales remaining.

CaptainHowdy 08-03-2010 06:47 AM

Looks like their onto something...

the Shemp 08-03-2010 06:49 AM

thank you. a couple inhouse guys running a tube and buying ad spots can never replace a sales team of thousands creatively hustling your sites.

I'd wager 99% of his affiliates signed up before that rule was in place. He just announced it a couple weeks ago if I recall correctly.

It's hard enough to go back and change links for most people even after a sponsor totally dies and goes out of business, let alone one that just decides to put limits on promo content out of the blue.

There are no winners, neither the program or the affiliates.
If you are out of touch with reality and won't take suggestions from old hands then you can not run a program.

Yep, there's nowhere to hide as an affiliate, Alpha is able to backtrace anyone violating his policies.

His program, his rules. As stated by someone else, I do not promote his program but even I know his rules. Why would you bother to promote the program if you can not abide by the rules?

Pornopat 08-03-2010 09:18 AM

If you promoted them you deserved to be banned :)

TheDA 08-03-2010 09:28 AM

I'd be interested to see how the banning of some pretty large traffic sites are going to effect their sales.

Sort term = losses. Long term = increased sales?

They change the rules as they go along, that is the problem.
