I suppose it's a good time as it will be worth even less next year...

well, both. i've got a few things going in mobile niche. ok money and i could expand on it but the industry climate makes it iffy, so 'selling high' while mobile is still hot is an option

woj 08-28-2010 09:09 PM

I'm not going anywhere anytime soon... :thumbsup

Va2k 08-28-2010 09:10 PM

Well I ain't going anywhere, neither is Tushycash :) We have something so fucking awesome that's coming out it will be the next big thing! Mark my words!

Barefootsies 08-28-2010 09:14 PM

I am not going anywhere.

Things could get 10X's worse, and I can still make money shooting new content and running the stores and sites. If you know how to do your shoots right, and control costs, you easily make 1000 x's profit over the years. The content game is a delicious money maker.

Looks like I will be one of the last one's standing with everyone bailing out.
:pimp

The Porn Nerd 08-28-2010 09:41 PM

Still here, and growing in leaps and bounds. It's amazing what one person can accomplish if they NEVER STOP, like a fucking Pac-Man.

Wooka wooka wooka!

DBS.US 08-28-2010 09:48 PM

If you think outside the box you can make money.

harvey 08-28-2010 09:50 PM

I'm not going anywhere, but only because I'm not accepted anywhere else :Oh crap

epitome 08-28-2010 09:53 PM

I'm staying ... unless I am the last one out and have to turn off the lights.

WiredGuy 08-28-2010 09:55 PM

I'm living on royalties from this business and enjoying life a little bit this year. To hell with working so hard :)

FrozenJag 08-28-2010 10:03 PM

So you actually are doing that? I remember you telling me you were going to do that. You told me that while you were sitting in your office at 3 AM. :1orglaugh

Hey buddy - I'm not bailing immediately but I'm definitely making plans to move on. I'm finding less and less loyalty among content buyers these days and it's kinda like a big ol' slap in the face. Hey, It's been a fun ride for sure....but I'm ready for the next chapter :thumbsup

Great having lunch with you a few weeks back - let's do it again soon my friend :thumbsup

What many need to do is stop looking at all the negatives in the industry and focus your attention on the positives and capitalize on them. Constantly worrying about "what if" will do nothing, but make your situation worse. There's still plenty of money to be made in this industry no matter how bad things may look. it's all about what you do and how you do it. I've had many ups and downs in this business in the last 13 years, but never once have I given up and I'm not about to start now.

It has already been mentioned in this thread, but think out of the box.

Paul Markham 08-29-2010 12:27 AM

I'm semi retired. Not sure if I'll ever shoot again. Just selling what we did shoot for the last 20 years.

So long as there's money to be made the stores will stay open.

Then I might post just to pass the time. :)

TeenCat 08-29-2010 12:31 AM

who is bailing out? you mean those few people who are lazy or dont want to make money the hard way so are selling and running like a little kids? :upsidedow

PornMD 08-29-2010 12:34 AM

I imagine many of the half-assed will leave and many of the hard-working will stay. Hopefully so - I'd LIKE to keep selling adult domains but mainstream's been much better lately.

Sabby 08-29-2010 12:39 AM

this is like a monthly thread just with stupider people.

I'm in, but I will be doing things differently. I need to start applying everything I've learned over the past several years visiting GFY. Yes, believe it or not, if you can get past the drama there is a lot of useful information to be had.

stever 08-29-2010 01:34 AM

yawn
enough with the negative threads

I'm very unhappy with the state of the industry and the direction it's headed, but I'm still here.

If you're not willing to give it your all you'll just drift in mediocrity. If that's the case get out now and try not to 1/2 ass the next thing you try.
