I think Chris Mallick will make this right

For those of you who don't know, Chris was the one that salvaged Epoch when they were completely fucked up in 2000. Everyone got paid. Chris has run Epass for 7 years and it enabled alot of people to do international business and save alot of money on bank fees. Epass also saved alot of sponsors when Visa suddenly lowered the allowed chargeback limits. Without Epass, the industry would not have had such a great run like it did.

Chris is a guy with pride and integrity, and I'm sure that he will do everything possible to resolve the current situation. The guy is fucking SMART. This is a high-risk industry. Shit happens all the time. Don't give in to GFY's mob mentality, and give Chris and his crew time to work things out for everyone.

Agreed!
It's natural for a lot of folks to overreact...give 'em a little time to sort it out!

martinsc 09-04-2010 02:31 AM

I believe he will find a way to fix this mess....

BabeHunter 09-04-2010 02:33 AM

I hope you are right :)

vanbest 09-04-2010 02:35 AM

I agree on that, too. There is too much panic whithin gfy mob. No doubt something happened (money laundry most likely) so if epass will be up and running again, for sure there will be some changes to be done. For sure, no one will keep more than a chunk in the epass for the next period of time, untill they'll forget about this.

I am stunned though about the big amounts some people have in a third party virtual bank...

I hope your're right Steve!

trannysphere 09-04-2010 02:40 AM

still hoping. i love epass. its to very convienient for us especially we in this industry.

Calico Jack 09-04-2010 02:43 AM

I'm prepared to wait and see. If things happened as suddenly as claimed then we have to give them the chance to make things right.

BIGTYMER 09-04-2010 02:43 AM

I hope so too. I've grown to love epass.

tabasco 09-04-2010 02:47 AM

I have a feeling we will all get our money. But things won't be the same again. Much tighter restrictions etc

cherrylula 09-04-2010 03:33 AM

hope you are absolutely correct!!! go epass

jscott 09-04-2010 03:34 AM

tbh, I'm not even worried about getting the money, I think that isn't even worth the worry, I believe we will

My only worry is about continueing the use of Epass services, I've grown to LOVE LOVE LOVE epassport

Please get this fixed if at all possible, and thanks a lot for the previous great use and help of your services Epassporte

I've never dealt with Epoch or Epassporte, but I did see Mallick's box office bomb "Middle Men", and I believe he did a real disservice to the adult industry, by perpetuating negative stereotypes, suggesting that his partners at Paycom/Epoch were coked out drug addicts, while he was a knight in shining armor, that the industry is in cahoots with mobsters, that he left the adult industry to return to his wife (when the reality is he never left the industry, and he and his wife divorced), and worst of all, that his partners went to jail for child porn (casting a cloud of suspicion on all involved with adult, even though it was a lie).

To try and profit by giving our industry a black eye, is not something I can condone. I am glad more people did not see Mallick's movie, which he tried to suggest was based upon true events, when in fact, it was filled with multiple fabrications and outright lies.

Getting back to the real world, this is not the first time that ePassporte dun goofed, and I strongly suspect that consequences will never be the same after this latest fiasco! :2 cents: :upsidedow

For the sake of those whom did no wrong, but are suffering as a consequence of this most recent ePassporte debacle, I sincerely hope things do get resolved.

As for Chris Mallick, I lost all respect for him after his dishonest hatchet job movie about the adult biz. :321GFY

Good luck with your lawsuit against the torrent sites, Steve. I respect and applaud you for that.

Although I disagree about your assessment of Chris Mallick, I understand that you are a good person at heart who tries to support other veterans of the industry both during good times and bad times, and for that, no one can call you a fair weather friend. :thumbsup

Did you use Google translator for this gem? :error

grumpy 09-04-2010 04:01 AM

dealing with a bank and visa is a different league. Big numbers are involved, he must be sitting on a shitload of cash to solve this.

Max Cannon 09-04-2010 04:43 AM

TBH all epass threads should be deleted and nothing discussed about epass if people dont want things to get worse

Maybe there is nothing serious going on, maybe there is...thats not whats dangerous

What's dangerous is when mob mentality takes over and panic ensues cause you kinda create a situation even if there is no situation and any kind of market where there is perceived lack of confidence....well, only one thing can happen.

Perceptions create reality

I'm more in agreement with that.

Also can't really call someone smart that makes an ego-trip movie that bombs.

I've been with ePassporte for 5 years and I have nothing but good to say about Chris and I am very happy to work for him.
The whole charge back limit thing were before my time but I found it very clever when I put pieces of info together here and there.
I have not don't everything will return to normal Chris could have pulled the plug on ePassporte when this happened but I am sure it never crossed his mind, he is a smart man and he will get ePassporte though this.
I expect another 5 years at least with ePassporte :)

HomerSimpson 09-04-2010 05:16 AM

finally some optimistic thread on whole epass issue...

Not sure about the rest of what you said...... but this is a very important point that people seem to forget on a very regular basis.

Vick! 09-04-2010 05:27 AM

Something tells me that epass is gonna stay. I know they will be back, I am no way worried about my money.

Slappin Fish 09-04-2010 05:59 AM

They wouldn't be advising people how to withdraw funds if, like some believe here, their only goal was to disappear with the cash.

Nobody knows for sure if they will pull through, but at this stage, I still believe Chris and his people are doing all they can to get this resolved.

Tjeezers 09-04-2010 06:02 AM

there is a saying in Holland

" Hoogmoed komt voor de val "

Anyone knows the english version on this?

translator says " Pride comes before a fall " , sounds a little buggy to me

...blah blah blah..

Bullshit. The only reason you carry on and on about "Middle Men" and Chris Mallick is because you are one of those guys that hates seeing others succeed. You hoped it wouldn't be a success before you saw a single frame. Least you could do is admit to yourself.

I hope you are right Steve, but things don't look good from where I'm sitting to be honest.

There is a similar one my friend from Utrect says, something like "Don't hold your head too high". Maybe stems from the same saying / proverb.
