SKNANB cardholders with over $7.500

Anyone received a respond yet?

" SKNANB has determined, after consultation with all relevant parties, including a significant number of cardholders, that, generally, the best and most efficient way to return funds to those relatively few cardholders with balances over $7,500 (vs. the originally considered $10,000) is through a Bank Draft or Wire Transfer. Up until now, most cardholders in this bracket will have only received the initial receipt confirmation email in response to documentation provided. In the next few days, cardholders will receive an email with the additional documentation required in order to facilitate either the Bank Draft or Wire Transfer. "

Submitted docs: 10th Oct. and no reposnse :( Over 10k

Barry-xlovecam 10-28-2010 04:57 PM

I received an email this morning from SKNANB indicating that my documents were "fine" and that they would be sending me their form to close this account by a wire transfer as I had desired.

I received this form an hour ago so they are doing so far as they have promised.

The amount was in excess of $7,500.00
The documents were submitted Oct 12, 2010 10 AM here.

I have been in contact with a spokesperson for the bank. He indicated that he and the SKNANB bank are aware of the delays and they were not intentional but really organizational in the prompt resolving of an unexpectedly large task.

I was assured, and will convey to you, the bank's regrets for the length of time this is taking. I was further assured that the outstanding cardholders would all be paid in a reasonably short time from now.

Hopefully, there will be other reports like mine soon and also of successful conclusions so we can all put this matter behind us.

This form — it was emailed by the SKNANB bank after the documents were approved. The form will not be accepted unless the account has been already verified.
The top of the form says:

Quote:

[P]lease note that this form can only be used by cardholders who have already provided confirmed documentation as per the “SKNANB VISA PREPAID CARD DUE DILIGENCE, VERIFICATION & AFFIDAVIT FORM”. ...

Machete_ 10-30-2010 10:19 AM

nothing yet

Utilit 10-30-2010 12:40 PM

I submitted all docs on the 13th October , about 12K in VV.
still nothing :(

howardzinn 10-30-2010 02:01 PM

I didn't submit till the 20th, so it looks like I have a wait. Only $5500 in my VV too, so I a looking at 2.5 weeks of daily atm trips.

firemedia 10-30-2010 04:43 PM

I submitted docs 10 th October. Have over 10k on account. Today I receive respond offering me 4 ways of trasnfering the funds:

"· Receipt of a new alternative card product that provides ATM cash access, physical (swipe) merchant shopping and telephone/Internet purchase capability.
· A bank draft/cashiers check
· A wire transfer
· The opening of an SKNANB checking account (additional account opening documents will be required)"

So my actual visa is going to by canceled and probably I will need to order new card from them to get it from atm. I think it's like they want more time to not give us access to our funds.

lol_cat 10-30-2010 05:06 PM

I got the wire request form. Emailing now...

BTW I am pretty sure that form is standardized and for any balances >7.5K they want to wire or draft as per their message. I don't think they will issue us new cards for example. Then again maybe I am wrong, for balances hovering around there I guess it's not an issue. Personally I went for the wire.

FighterSpirit 10-30-2010 05:41 PM

Thank you for your email.

We apologize for the delay in responding to you and appreciate your patience.

In order to facilitate the payment of the funds on your card we need you to complete and the return the attached Manual Payment Form to us. The only additional documentation required is if your address has changed to that currently on the card a new utility bill for proof of address purposes is required.

The form provides for 4 different potential payment options as per the below:

• Receipt of a new alternative card product that provides ATM cash access (US$1,020 per day), physical (swipe) merchant shopping and telephone/Internet purchase capability.
• A bank draft/cashiers check
• A wire transfer
• The opening of an SKNANB checking account (additional account opening documents will be required)

When returning the document, please indicate your preferred choice; however, please note, as per the form, we may advise you that a different option is more suitable. Once the document has been received we will respond confirming that payment process.

Don't most people who have VV also have an ATM/Debit card?

adrianb 11-04-2010 02:23 AM

why not call like me :2 cents:

tranza 11-04-2010 06:32 AM

I'm still waiting for an answer from them about my documents. But I think I rather just withdraw it at the ATM.

God knows how long it would take to get the wire, and I'd have to pay taxes/bank fees if I choose the wire option too.

xxxRumor 11-04-2010 08:51 AM

I submitted my wire request form two days ago nov 2, this is the email I just recived:

Thank you for your email.

We have received the form and will review and respond with confirmation of payment option to be used within the timelines outlined on the document.

Thank you for your patience.

I just got off the phone with the wire department at SKANAB — they called me ...

The lady at SKANAB wanted to verify the bank routing and account number from the form. I had sent a HTML copy of their form that was typewritten. Apparently she did not have access to that and only the handwritten one I had sent them (my handwriting is not so great), thus the reason for the call I assume.

Just to give you a time line;
1.) The documents to be verified were submitted October 12, 2010.

2.) There was some communication between myself and the bank (privileged communication that I will not disclose).

3.) I received email notification with the wire form documents Thursday October 28, 2010 after business hours and returned them completed Friday October 29, 2010.

4.) Wednesday November 03, 2010 I received an email saying that they were "finalizing" the wire transfer.

5.) And then the news of today.

The conversation ended in confirmation that the wire would be actually sent Monday November 08, 2010.
