Big Sis Invades Wal-Mart: 'if You See Something, Say Something'
I'm absolutely shocked at just how fast the Police State is rising around us!
:eek2 :eek2 :eek2 :eek2 :eek2 Press Office U.S. Department of Homeland Security Dec. 6, 2010 BIG SIS INVADES WAL-MART: 'IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING' WASHINGTON -- Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced the expansion of the Department?s national ?If You See Something, Say Something? campaign to hundreds of Walmart stores across the country?launching a new partnership between DHS and Walmart to help the American public play an active role in ensuring the safety and security of our nation. ?Homeland security starts with hometown security, and each of us plays a critical role in keeping our country and communities safe,? said Secretary Napolitano. ?I applaud Walmart for joining the ?If You See Something, Say Something? campaign. This partnership will help millions of shoppers across the nation identify and report indicators of terrorism, crime and other threats to law enforcement authorities.? The ?If You See Something, Say Something? campaign?originally implemented by New York City?s Metropolitan Transportation Authority and funded, in part, by $13 million from DHS? Transit Security Grant Program?is a simple and effective program to engage the public and key frontline employees to identify and report indicators of terrorism, crime and other threats to the proper transportation and law enforcement authorities. More than 230 Walmart stores nationwide launched the ?If You See Something, Say Something? campaign today, with a total of 588 Walmart stores in 27 states joining in the coming weeks. A short video message, available here, will play at select checkout locations to remind shoppers to contact local law enforcement to report suspicious activity. continued.. http://drudgereport.com/flash2n.htm Air Marshals Expand Beyond Planes Officers Descending On Transit Systems, Bus Stations, Ferries (AP) Federal air marshals are expanding their work beyond airplanes, launching counterterror surveillance at train stations and other mass transit facilities in a three-day test program. As of Wednesday, the Transportation Security Administration said, teams of undercover air marshals and uniformed law enforcement officers were descending on bus stations, ferries and transit systems across the country to protect them from potential terrorists. "We just want to develop the capability to enhance security outside of aviation," said air marshal spokesman David Adams. Air marshals stepped outside of their usual role of flying undercover on airliners after Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans. They were sent to keep order at Louis Armstrong International Airport, where thousands of evacuees converged after the levees were breached. The so-called "Visible Intermodal Protection and Response" teams, or VIPER teams, will patrol Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and Los Angeles rail lines; ferries in Washington state; bus stations in Houston; and mass transit systems in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington and Baltimore. continued.. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/...n1124533.shtml Feds Radiating Americans at Roadside Checkpoints 4th Amendment Violating Mobile X-Ray Scanners Hit The Streets As we warned at the beginning of the year, X-ray body scanners currently being used and abused in airports across the world are set to hit the streets as American Science & Engineering reveals that ?more than 500 backscatter x-ray scanners mounted in vans that can be driven past neighboring vehicles to see their contents? have been sold to government agencies. continued.. 4th Amendment Violating Mobile X-Ray Scanners Hit The Streets http://18pink.com/gfy/backscattervan.jpg Philly Cops Stopping & Searching Random People On The Streets In Philadelphia, you don?t have to visit the airport to have the government molest you, TSA-style ?stop, question and frisk? pat downs are already being conducted by police on the streets targeting people who act suspicious, by doing things like putting their hands in their coat pocket. As we have repeatedly warned, everything unfolding in the airports, from naked radiation body scanners to pat downs, is now being implemented on mass transit as well as every major street corner in America. Constitutional protections of privacy and immunity from unreasonable search and seizure have been abolished, replaced with guilty until proven innocent. continued.. http://mikereport.net/?p=811 US Homeland Security FAST Becoming Thought Police The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is making quick progress on its Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST) or Project Hostile Intent as it was called originally, which is designed to detect hostile thoughts, or thought crime as it?s known in Orwellian-speak. The technology uses high-tech sensors that can measure breathing and pulse rate, as well as facial expressions and skin temperature in an attempt to identify people acting suspiciously. The system aims to make it easier for border control staff to choose who to single out for a probing interview. continued.. http://www.markstechnologynews.com/2...-becoming.html http://18pink.com/gfy/thoughtpolicefast.jpg |

And the terrorists win!! Way to go!!

not very happy with the direction the US Gov is heading.
What really pisses me off is the 100 mile extension to the border that they did. That's probably what allows the cops in Philly to search people http://www.aclu.org/technology-and-l...tion-free-zone |

Feds Warrantlessly Tracking Americans? Credit Cards in Real Time
Federal law enforcement agencies have been tracking Americans in real-time using credit cards, loyalty cards and travel reservations without getting a court order, a new document released under a government sunshine request shows. The document, obtained by security researcher Christopher Soghoian, explains how so-called ?Hotwatch? orders allow for real-time tracking of individuals in a criminal investigation via credit card companies, rental car agencies, calling cards, and even grocery store loyalty programs. The revelation sheds a little more light on the Justice Department?s increasing power and willingness to surveil Americans with little to no judicial or Congressional oversight. continued... http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2010/12/realtime/ |
please look up what a police state is, you will then realize this has nothing to do with that.

Police State: "The term police state describes a state in which the government exercises rigid and repressive controls over the social, economic and political life of the population. A police state typically exhibits elements of totalitarianism and social control, and there is usually little or no distinction between the law and the exercise of political power by the executive. The inhabitants of a police state experience restrictions on their mobility, and on their freedom to express or communicate political or other views, which are subject to police monitoring or enforcement. Political control may be exerted by means of a secret police force which operates outside the boundaries normally imposed by a constitutional state." Same thing is happening in the EU. People didn't want the Lisbon Treaty, and they implemented it anyway. The EU can now basically do whatever it wants... without 'interference' of the people... Look up project INDECT.... |

Useful idiots talk, they don?t listen. They ask lots of questions, but never wait to hear your answers. For them, questions are not a search for information, but rather a method of antagonism. It is a way to keep everyone else on guard while making themselves feel superior. In this game, the useful idiot never has to expose his ignorance because he never has to enter into a meaningful dialogue with anyone who has an opposing view. All he has to do is attack, attack, attack. http://neithercorp.us/npress/?p=898 |

It's just getting starting. Imagine another 10 years from now.
If you don't like it, start making plans now to get off the grid. Have a plan, be prepared. Or suck it up and deal with it. |

If someone doesn't travel much you are probably not exposed to it. I've been gone for a while and it's not because I thought the GOV was out to get me or anything, I just prefer living in a strange land. With that said, over here you have to be somewhat prepared for other things that can happen. Lots of political unrest here as well as terrorist groups, but the difference is if the shit hits the fan here, I have a chance. Quote:
People don't understand how fragile the system is and most are not prepared. Be it massive long term power failures to natural disaster to large scale riots to god knows what, if you're not ready your chances of making it through it is slim. How many people know how to find water and filter it if there is none? How many have food reserves to last more than a few days? How many people know enough first aid to treat yourself or someone else in the event help can not come to you? How many people know how to deal with sewage in the event they had to? How many people have weapons and can protect their family? The list goes on, but point is, as I'm sure you are well aware of, most people are sleeping, usually in denial, and are literally fucked should something bad happen. |

moreover, you failed to follow along. my initial comment was *read what a police state is and you will realize that this is not that* |
Homeland security begins with hometown security. That makes sense. The person can do a lot in the local area. Reporting suspicious activity in the local area makes sense.
