baddog 12-08-2010 12:04 AM

Hornitos, Johnnie Walker, Jameson

munki 12-08-2010 12:12 AM

Macallan, Jameson (Preferabbly a 18 yr reserve if you can find, or a 12 yr reserve)... Tequila I got nothing...

SGS 12-08-2010 12:32 AM

Jameson is Irish :)

XSV 12-08-2010 12:46 AM

Patron Reposado or the private label from http://www.loscabosguide.com/shoppin...ilescuervo.htm

Scotch, not a real fan

Whiskey/Bourbon - Jameson's or Blanton's

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 12-08-2010 12:49 AM

That's my top choice, I try to keep a bottle around at all times, but they tend to run out fast around here. Glenfiddich or Glenlivet aren't bad. Scapa is another I don't mind once in a while, they serve it at the lounge here. I'll give Dalwhinnie the thumbs up too.

I love scotch. Scotch, scotch, scotch.

bhutocracy 12-08-2010 01:23 AM

For scotch it's hard to go past an Islay single malt:

Like drinking smoke. Awesome.

Tequila, Patron is the go. Silver is fine. A great tequila for non tequila drinkers is TQ Hot. It tastes like warm honey, impossible to find though.

Frasier 12-08-2010 02:44 AM

I'm a serious scotch drinker and wouldnt touch many of the ones listed here.

Except this one
http://www.bestofwhisky.com/wp-conte...aphroaig01.jpg

If giving as a gift, I might go with the 15year old vs the 10 year old shown, or if it's someone really special - try to find a bottle of the single cask version

I've never met a scotch starting with 'glen' that I cared for.

Johnny Walker blue and silver label are overpriced and I would stear you far away from.

bjlover 12-08-2010 03:02 AM

if its for a present and you dont mind spending a few bucks, then this would make a great present Yoichi

something different and amazing and as good as it gets, oh and Japanese :thumbsup

nikki99 12-08-2010 03:36 AM

when I was a drunk slut I use to drink the best wisky in the world, Jameson! :thumbsup

facialfreak 12-08-2010 03:42 AM

Patron is a great Tequila!

I marinade my pulled pork in it overnight, lather on my own secret homemade dry rub, and then that bad boy goes into my Big Green Egg!!

Everybody who's tried my pulled pork always comes back for more!! :thumbsup:thumbsup

facialfreak 12-08-2010 03:44 AM

Jameson's is a good Whiskey ... It turn's Bailey's into a man's drink!!

(... called a Perverted Irishman!)

SGS 12-08-2010 04:22 AM

If you are ever in N. Ireland I would strongly recommend a visit to the Jameson distillery. Possibly the best pub in the world. :)

SGS 12-08-2010 04:23 AM

Btw, *ANY* of the Islay single malts are very good.

Chosen 12-08-2010 06:06 AM

I don't drink much... :)

CurrentlySober 12-08-2010 06:07 AM

It would be wrong of me to recommend because of my user name - Sorry

Pick up a bottle of JW blue and 4 cartons in a duty free airport, ie los cabos, and pay $220 total ;)

czarina 12-08-2010 08:43 AM

the tequila that the rich mexicans drink is Don Julio or Herradura; that should tell you something

dan@noof 12-08-2010 09:10 AM

What's the best rye whiskey?

DateDoc 12-08-2010 09:16 AM

Everyday Scotch - Dimple Pinch would be my choice.
Single Malt Scotch - they vary so much that is going to be a personal preference.
Whiskey/Bourbon - Bookers
Tequila - don't drink it.

Si 12-08-2010 09:19 AM

Got to have Single Malts for Whiskey

Isle of Jura is my favourite and The Glenlivet is pretty nice

Cyandin 12-08-2010 09:24 AM

Bookers

Glenmorangie "Quinta Ruban"

Don Julio 1942

scuba steve 12-08-2010 09:25 AM

Canadian of course

Scapa is the best scotch, period

PornGreen 12-08-2010 09:57 AM

Well I keep hearing all the rappers talk about drinking Sizzurp. I've been looking for it in all my local liquer stores but I can't find it. When I ask at the counter they look at me like I am crazy. I guess Sizzurp must be a smaller brand that hasn't reached my area yet.

webair 12-08-2010 10:14 AM

Sauza Commerativo

= pure crap.

As for tequila (100% agave), if you drink it straight, some anejo or reposado, blanco if you mix it...

1921
Aha Torro
Sauza Hornitos
Dos Lunas
Cabo Wabo
Patron
Don Julio
etc.

Someone above mentioned Herradura, don't know how and why, it's the shittiest tequila I ever tasted.

Evil Chris 12-08-2010 12:35 PM

They're all good and everyone has their own taste and opinion.

Jameson is good, and triple distilled.
For scotch, I like McCallans, but there are many.

I don't like Isle of Skye or Islay whiskies. My own taste.

Older isn't always better, so don't think you have to buy the oldest fucking bottle you can find. A cheap and tasy scotch if you're just doing some drinking is Ballantines.

PamiebDVD 12-08-2010 12:59 PM

Whistle Pig Rye Whiskey, Macallan 18 year scotch, Gran Centanario teguila for mixing Don Julio for sipping. IMHO

LeRoy 12-08-2010 01:13 PM

I dont drink to hard stuff too much.

but one year I gave a client a bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label, He almost cried.

I tried it too but I'm just not into it
