CCBill Suggestion

It would be nice to see in referred sales mails the name of the program as well as the affiliate id.

Its a real pain in the ass having to go into the affiliate admin to try and find out who you made the sale too.

I am sure this change could be easily made and would make our life a lot easier.

If you agree with me please lend your support to this thread and let's see if we can get CCBill to make this change. :2 cents:

ruff 12-08-2010 06:19 AM

That would be nice and I wouldn't think it would be too hard to do.

john FVC 12-08-2010 06:29 AM

Bump for the early crew

signupdamnit 12-08-2010 06:36 AM

+1

In the mean time I usually cut and paste the code plus "ccbill" or "refer.ccbill.com" in google to find out who it is rather than log in to ccbill. It's lazy but usually does the trick in a few seconds.

AmeliaG 12-08-2010 07:23 AM

If you use StatsRemote or NiftyStats, they give you that data, in a very easy to parse format.

Realgfs 12-08-2010 07:23 AM

We recommend nifty stats. You can edit "CCBill sponsor" to the the real name. It's quick and easy to keep track

Which makes it all the more infuriating that CCBill cannot do this..

SlammedMedia 12-08-2010 08:13 AM

It would be nice to see CCBill listen and give webmasters what they want -- instead of coming up with ideas / options "they think" webmasters want.

DWB 12-08-2010 08:36 AM

Do you mean emails or in Nifty Stats?

Site owners can customize their emails to say anything you need.

czarina 12-08-2010 08:42 AM

there is an area in CCBill where the sponsor can edit the emails that go out, it's actually really nice that we can do this, but the only one missing is the one that the actual affiliate gets.

signupdamnit 12-08-2010 08:57 AM

For comparison Verotel is pretty good with this in that they at least give you the url where the sale occurred:

Quote:

Dear Me,

A transaction was processed for the url stated below.
You will receive a percentage of this transaction as
determined by the webmaster of this site.

----------------------------------------------------------
URL http://sponsor.com/url.html

Date 08-Dec-2010
Time 14:51:43

Amount USD 29.95
Payment type Credit Card

Your commission USD 15.00
Recurring commission yes

More information can be found in the Verotel
Control Center at http://www.verotel.com/login

Kind regards,

Verotel Sales
But while we're at it the referring url would be a nice touch as well since that information is buried deep in the ccbill admin otherwise. If this could easily be implemented. Not to mention also our cut rather than merely the actual sale amount.

Thank you for the suggestion! We will certainly take this under advisement and see if we can make this change.

you can make the changes, it's just a matter of doing it.

femdomdestiny 12-08-2010 09:50 AM

yes

Yes, it will save time and nerves so webmasters won't have to login to check. Maybe even save some bandwith and server resources for ccbill

A simple low tech solution I've been using for quite some time now...

Edit your site url in your affiliate profile for each sponsor (Tools section) to include the sponsor name. example: http://www.mydomain.com/sponsor-name/

That url *is* included in the current CCbill sales notice emails.

iheartbucks 12-08-2010 12:48 PM

I always thought it would be nice, especially for a quick view just like a webmaster sale has the site subscribed to :)

Yep I totally agree with you those would be very useful additions.

Hi John, I sent you an email a while ago but I am not sure I have the right address. Please send me your email so we can discuss further. Thanks.

I am happy to report that the requested changes have been made. We have added the program name and some other information to the referral emails.

Thank you for the suggestion!

femdomdestiny 12-15-2010 02:20 PM

Oh great although few days ago email sales notification never came to me. Maybe you were in process of changing something

We had a slight problem with our affiliate sales emails over the weekend but that has been fully resolved.

Are you talking about emails you receive as an affiliate or as the program owner?

I've been getting emails via the CCBill email system, from one CCBill program, that details the program name and the site name the sale was made on since around September.

I assumed it was a variable that they took the time to set up inside their admin.

femdomdestiny 12-15-2010 04:38 PM

no email

Just saw a sale in my stats but again, no email notification. When I try ccbill support to check this problem, they are telling me that I must see with program owner ?!

Thank you. Very nice tweak.

john FVC 12-15-2010 10:36 PM

CCbill PAUL mailed me very quickly after raising this suggestion, asking me what I would like to see included in a referred sale mail. I am happy to report he turned this round very quickly and I am sure the changes made will be found very useful to us all.

My thanks to him and CCBill.

It is mails sent to affiliates when they make a sale. As an affiliate you have to enable the option of receiving signup notifications in your CCBill affiliate admin for each individual program you sign up to.

Go into the tools section in the CCBill affilite admin then select 'edit' beside the program . Then look for 'Receive Email about new signups' and set that to 'YES'. If you have more than one sponsor you will need to do this for each individual one.

The 'Receive Email about new signups' I understand.

My point was, that the functionality I thought you were asking for in the original post has been available since September, at least for one sponsor I work with.

I don't have the notification email set for all sponsors so I don't know if more have been using it already.

Here's the opening sentence from that email

This message is to inform you that a sale has been made at PinkVelvetPass from PinkVelvetVault and was referred by:

blah, blah, blah

Nice that CCBill have listened to 'the people' though, and set it up as default now :)

femdomdestiny 12-16-2010 03:35 AM

I am not sure

I am not sure would it be good also to have email notification when membership is rebilled because I like feeling when I think sales are bad that day but when I check stats, rebills save my day.

femdomdestiny 12-16-2010 06:08 AM

And yes, it is much better now, just saw that new email format. I just don't know why it doesn't have white background so it's looks ugly with default color in my outlook 2003
