Let's Talk About Sex..

...actually, let's talk about 2257 Exemptions.....but I had to get your attention first!

;)

What do you know about exemptions and what is your experience in being 2257 exempt?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I think the 2257 documents should prove that photographs/videos of models are 18+. You can find such links to 2257 usually on the bottom of free hosted galleries. If the website is only text, I think the 2257 laws would not apply. For example, let's say your web site is completely only text of erotic stories. In this case, 2257 would not apply, but some other laws would apply. Good luck.

Thanks, fatfoo! There are 3rd party sites which are not the producers of matearial covered under 2257 and therefor may be exempt and may indicate that the producer is the holder of the 2257 records. Got any info on that? I am looking for practical experience in this matter.

Make your site look like a tube site and you'll be exempt.

As far as I know if your site shows images that are sexual...you the owner of the site...must have 2257 documentation. I don't think that it is enough to say that the 2257 documentation is held by anyone other than you. In other words I do not think that as an affiliate you can display sexual images and list your sponsor as being the holder of 2257 documentation...although I see many that do this...but the way I understand it they are in violation. There are other aspects of 2257 that come into play also such as where you the owner of the site are keeping the 2257 documentation and they have to be available for inspection during certain hours of the day.

I forgot to mention that in my post...but of course you have to have proof of that available.

Gets complex, doesn't it? This is why I am looking for input and thank you for yours!
