Question for the blog experts
If you have a blog that ends up ranking for a specific term you want is it best to leave it alone and not update it or continue to update even more?
Some of my blogs rank first for the wanted specific term and I haven't updated them for months, so I just leave them alone. Not so much that I'm afraid that it would mess up my ranking but because there just doesn't seem any point.
What I would avoid doing is changing any of the meta data. |
I prefer to update good ranked blogs...
I'd update them, but could keep the post (or part of the post) with the text that is most relevant on the index page...
only update if sales slow.
keep the same posting frequency as you've always used
turn into a tube.

Ive made the mistake of updating a blog that ranked well. It dropped after adding a couple posts.
Did you reach the goal by updating frequently or by having the posts static? When you have reached a rank It won't usually be affected by updating as long as your meta title and description stay the same. This is if you keep updating with the same "theme/niche" you have had through out.

When one of blogs reaches number 1 in google, I have a glass of champagne to celebrate, but within a week or two, I delete the entire blog completely, and start agin from scratch.
To me, its not the getting there thats the big deal. I prefer the journey. |
