I will say this about the Chinese - if the last Tiger in existence - (or Rhino, etc...) was in China - there would be a bidding frenzy for who gets to kill it.

All Asian countries are this way, they kill everything in sight and eat it. China is actually probably the best of the lot. The Government spends a lot of money and effort trying to protect endangered species.
When I was in the Philippines a turtle came up on this beach and laid some eggs, they had to put the military on the beach to protect it. but of course the military ended up eating it. Thats the Philippines.
