It's not a scam and many people know that most MLM's are very real and stable business models - the whole industry does indeed have a bad reputation due to a few bad apples, but there are many MLM's still running for decades and expanding the entire time.

While watching the Penn n Teller video I was reminded of all the reasons of why I would never have gone in for an MLM in the past.... this one is very different folks.

thats's it - there is nothing else you could spend money on. No marketing materials, no parties, no gimmicks, no selling of any kind. You just pay your 60 bucks and find one person per month.
