Jakez 12-13-2010 08:20 PM

Was going to say Kinect.

AndreaM 12-13-2010 08:24 PM

Depends on the age group, but definitely Kinect.

BFT3K 12-13-2010 08:27 PM

This is what all of the cool kids want...

Complete with "safe radioactive materials" - what more does a kid need?

I just picked up the new Hannah Montana Bong.....awesome colors.

NaughtyRob 12-13-2010 08:47 PM

Depends how old they are I guess. I have a 19 yr old and a 3 yr old. Haha!

Tam 12-13-2010 08:51 PM

Mine aren't so much kids anymore, my kids are 26,21,17 and 12.

My 12 yr old is dying for a touch screen computer, she does a lot of design/graphics work online and that's what she wants, as she does her own drawing. She's getting it, she's going to freak. lol

My 17 yr old wants his own recording gear, he writes and records rap music - we are setting him up with a full personal studio

The 21 yr old wants a Wii - he is getting the red anniversary one. lol

the 26 yr old got my Jeep when I got a new car, we gave her that for Christmas, she desperately needed a new car.

I tell ya, I don't miss that "Oh god mom, I just HAVE to have that toy" shit.. I have been shuffling so many times trying to get those things only to have them thrown in the corner in a matter of hours. Now they are all wanting practical things. lol

Mine are 20 and 12. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one grateful for the "I want that toy" days to be over!

Get the Kinect - they'll forget all about the Wii and it's gay controllers = truth!

CyberHustler 12-13-2010 10:25 PM

Supposedly you'll be able to use the kinect on Windows 8... Think I'll get one since I just bought the halo edition xbox back in September.

I heard they are coming up with a Hannah Montana Bong :upsidedow

pornguy 12-14-2010 09:01 AM

My son is 5 and tried playing the Kinect but his hands are tooooo small for it to really pick hip up well. He has a Wii anyway and loves that. Got him some new games on that. He also loves the TV cartoon Battle Force 5 so grabbed him up some of those. and a bunch of other things. And then the cruise tickets should be here by then. so he will get those as well. Sadly he has to take mom and dad on that with him. :)

CaptainHowdy 12-14-2010 09:02 AM

A book ??

I remember when my oldest was like 2-3, she had to have a Teddy Ruxpin Bear and I damn near got killed trying to get him for her. I got home with him, wrapped him...... Christmas morning, she unwrapped him, poked his eye out and never touched him again. I swore then, if I can find it without killing myself, I would, but not at the risk of life and limb. I went to 4 states trying to find that stupid thing and paid a fortune for him. AND was hit by some old lady that wanted the last one there. lol

I'd go out of my way, but not to that extreme ever again. lol

JayDeeZee 12-14-2010 09:09 AM

My son (9 years old) said he wanted fushigi, and I told him it was stupid. :thumbsup

He's getting an Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle, games for both Wii and 360, a bunch of Lego sets.... we also just put new carpet in his room, got him a loft bed and mini futon for under the loft bed, and a 32" LCD HDTV. He's 9 and his bedroom looks like a college dorm. :upsidedow

He's not much into toys...last year we bough all kinds of toys...a medieval castle, those Schleich Knights, dragons and a bunch of other shit. All of it has sat in our guest room for almost a year until I sold it on craigslist the other day. He's all about electronics and shit. It's like he's a teenager.

This was one of the few things he got last year that still gets used:

http://www.activemusician.com/images.../UW_X5MDBK.gif

It's a Washburn X-Series 3/4 scale. :thumbsup

ADL Colin 12-14-2010 10:01 AM

We went Kinect. Nothing else they were really excited for this year -- well, other than the new Super Mario Wii game.

You Fucking Rock!!! :thumbsup
Bookmarked the thread only for this post :) What will be useful for me ~10 years later... As my daughters are just 4 and 0,75 :)

AndreaM 12-14-2010 01:22 PM

I remember my mother doing that for my sister with Cabbage Patch Kids when they were all the rage. (She and I are 8 years apart) I'm pretty sure mom paid about 200 bucks for one to be sure it would be there Christmas morning. (This was in like 1985 - so that was a lot of money) She got pissed when I told her that she was a fool for letting Santa take the credit for that delivery. :D

I'm rather at a loss this year with my daughter. She is SO spoiled she couldn't even come up with a list of what she wanted.

I got my 4 year old a modded xbox preloaded with over 150 games including EVERY SNES game ever released. and a 42" plasma for his room. I'm sure he'll have the wii, kinetic, his blue ray, laptop and his ipad in there as well.

he's a bit spoiled.

Mine are 22 and 20. I'll grab them something, but I think college is their main focus. But DAMN! we got some fun toys when they were little.
