***** PussyCash NFL Pickem Pool WEEK 14 RESULTS *****

Another great week in football. A domed stadium's roof caves in, Favre's game-starting streak of 297 consecutive starts comes to an end (as does his career I'm thinking), NE Patriots are back on top of the league, and what's this?... Detroit beat the PACKERS? Wow. Just wow.
I'm just happy my Niners have an albeit slim chance of actually getting into the playoffs. :D

As for the pool,

congrats to mojo risin!

the patriots are back on top of the AFC, definitely not the league imo.

detroit is actually a good team and probably the most unlucky team in the nfl.
they've lost several games by a hair to good teams and against green bay rogers got a concussion and was out for most of the game so that did some major harm.

dont know about the pack now though, its going to be rough with an 8-5 record considering the other teams in the hunt for a wildcard.

Well let's see, they are 11 and 2, no one in the entire league has a better record thus far, so I'd say that qualies my saying they're back at the top.

I didn't say they were alone there. The Falcons are in that spot as well. Saints, Steelers, Ravens, Eagles, Giants aren't far behind. All of them are contenders.

But from where the Pats were last year and the year before, I'd say a league-leading 11-2 is enough to say they're back on top. But their level of play says it all. They're going to be tough to beat if they keep playing the way they have been lately.

Without Rogers they haven't got a prayer.

I don't know his status going forward though.

Still on top, just barely. Thought I was going to lose that Texans game:)

heh...yes but they are on the top in the AFC, NFC is the better division over all and i guarantee you they will have major problems if they have to go head to head with either the falcons or saints.

Remember the saints easily beat the patriots last year and this year they beat the steelers without much of a problem, just sayin...

We'll see. I'm only basing the "back on top" comment on their record, which along with the Falcons is the best in the league. That, and the fact they used to be on top 3-4 years ago, then after himself got his leg broken they took a nosedive for a few years. So it's really a figure of speech, saying they're "back on top".

If anyone had a better record than 11-2 I wouldn't have said it.

That was last year. Pats didn't have an 11-2 record going into week 15 like they do this year.

And i'm just saying considering the conference they're in thats not saying much;)

true they are better than they were last year which means they will be beaten badly by less points;)

ESPN's Power Rankings

1) Patriots
2) Falcons
3) Steelers
4) Saints
5) Ravens
6) Eagles

I think all 6 of these teams are very evenly matched and they all have a good chance of winning / going to the Super Bowl. Yes the Patriots have put a show on the past 2 weeks by destroying the Jets and Bears but the level of parity in the NFL this year is astounding. There is no clear cut favorite to win the Super Bowl this year but I do think it will be one of the these 6 teams taking home The Lombardi Trophy.

My perdition Eagles over Patriots in the Super Bowl.

LeRoy 12-14-2010 12:04 PM

Congrats on the win!!

I would pretty much 100% agree with that ranking. Patriots are indeed back on top, but personally if my 49ers can't win the SB then I'd prefer to see the Eagles or Ravens win it. I also wouldn't count Tampa Bay out of the running just yet, they're a sleeper in all this. Bears shouldn't be overlooked either, nor should the Giants.
