I wonder what's better. Getting something c/o your company name which your checks and other mail would be sent to. Or all of a sudden getting something c/o your personal name. Personally I'd prefer it to go to my company name. That's why we did it the way we did. Were we wrong?

I'm just guessing it was possibly my site name back in 2001 when I signed up. cant see me entering that as a company name, but who knows it was a long time ago.

Sometimes webmasters will have a Company Name and a Pay To name, which are different. The company name will be adult in nature, and the Pay To name is often the webmasters real name.

Now I'm not saying this is the case with this individual, but it is common practice.

Also, why do people try to make someone feel childish for making a complaint, and the person "putting them in their place" tries to degrade them by implying they live with their mother. To me, that is the ultimate in being childish.

I have always believed that just because someone is in adult, it does not mean they have to scream it from the roof tops and let everyone know what they do. It is no ones business but their own. Now some webmasters are young, care free and don't give a flying fuck who knows what they do. Others live in good family neighborhoods, have children in local schools and would prefer no one finds out what they do.

We become so hardened in adult, we often forget what a total shock it is to the average Jo. They forget that a lot of average people, upon hearing you are in adult, believe that you actually perform, you probably have a sexually transmitted disease, run around naked all the time, have wild sex parties and are a pedo. No way in hell they would let their children anywhere near theirs.

Mistakes happen, and if this did happen, I am sure Twisty's did not want to cause distress to any of the people they sent cards to. However, all companies should take note and have someone do the boring task of scanning over the recipient list to make sure there is nothing of an adult nature destined for the envelopes.

We are going through our list now. I see a handful of people that it looks like it's the site name (definitely not their company name). Going to email them a heads up and also correct that and try to find out if that was something done on our end or when the people joined.

Btw PornoFreak thanks for bringing this up. I'm still trying to figure out if this was a mistake by us or not. Email me if you could. I'm very sensitive to being discreet in terms of our communication with business partners. Thanks to this post I've located 8 affiliates that may feel the way you do. I'm sending them a heads up now. I'm guessing you may be one of them.

I got a Fubar magazine once addressed with our program name.. and at the time I was in a very small office complex with lawyers and financial planners. That magazine was 'accidentally' delivered to our neighbor who brought it over to us.. and who was considerably less friendly afterward.

Luckily I didn't give a crap, if it were my home it would have sucked.

In NATS on the information page is the company name then once you click next there is a place for the Payable to. My bet is that you guys used company names over payable to.

For company we put TopBucks since that's easy to pull up for people and our payable is Automatic Payment Processing which is found once you click next on the edit information page. Accounting flipped one time thinking we were putting in "TopBucks" as our payable to.

Sucks that it happened, but easy mistake to make.

Yes i hate this too,despise the fact my company name is not adult,but i really dont see need for company name listed,it's enough name and last name and address,cant be missed unless your home/office is in building.

I would like to hear damianj's opinion on adult companies sending christmas cards in the mail.

Personally I would never do it, as it seems cheesy, but I am no marketing expert. Just think that only mothers or old people get excited about receiving a paper christmas card.
