I love fruit cake, as a matter of fact it is one of the reasons why I enjoy the winter so much. I know a lot of people hate it but I think the stuff is great!

now if I could learn to like eggnog I would be all set for Christmas :)

Don't think I ever had something like in your image. Looks good, although I don't think I would eat it as I'm trying to ban flour and sugar from my life. I feel so ecstatic without it :)

They are great when they are fresh and moist. Unfortunately most fruitcakes have been around for quite a while - often re-gifted and/or forgotten.

I can't stand Fruit cakes myself, but my dad absolutely loves them.

Make it with some alcohol and it gets better the longer it sits. Fermentation continues. My Mom always made them from scratch.

yeah the ones that are good and alcohol'ed up are really good!
