SimpleCDN Shut Down
 

The other day or last week, someone mentioned SimpleCDN.com and I checked it out and thought their prices were amazing and began to think about how I could utilize their CDN.

Today I went back to do some pricing and stumbled upon this:

Oops, I guess SimpleCDN is out. :disgust

They were hosting some shady shit and upstream provider pulled the plug?

Sounds like it. Of course, they are just giving their side of the story, but I did see DMCA mentioned in their side of it.

Were you the one that originally mentioned them awhile back? I remember it was a programmer on here. I thought their prices were great, especially if one were doing a tube (I only play with legal model).

I think they were hosting with 100TB.com and they changed their TOS to not allow CDN anymore.

Their upstream providers were overselling and didn't like the fact that simplecdn were using the bw of their server at 100% of what they bought.
In this case it's just the upstream provider unable to honor the bw deals.

On a side note, if you are looking for a high bandwidth cdn at good price, hit me up and I will show you a good solution.

nah, not me, have never used them...

how much do you pay per month?

It isn't cheap but I'm paying a few hundred a month. I think I figured it was just a little more then having a managed box at a good host. But you get total peace of mind.
