Is InterNEXT worth going to?
 

I have gone there about 5 years ago and have met people who I still do business with until this day. But I haven't gone since. Is it worth going to nowdays? I mean do people still go there to do business or is it just an excuse to party at this point?

You can choose to go and just party OR you can make plans to meet with people about stuff you currently need.

So the show is not worth going to if you currently don't need anything?

I'm looking to keep up with the industry, educate myself about the new stuff and also find some clients who need Android apps which is what I do.

I don't go to a lot of shows but do internext every year, I think this year is going to be a very good show with other shows like affiliate summit on at the same time will be a lot of people in town

Id say you could get a lot done there then. Lots of people go on and on about mobile shit at shows ...

Being in App development I think you could get alot of business done there. Shows are all about what you put into it - if your going to get business done you'll leave with business. Going to party you'll leave with a hangover and some good memories.

Adult shows are definitly smaller and toned down from 5 years ago, but most people that go these days are focused on business.

That makes sense. Yeah, I don't drink and I party as much as I want to here in the Bay Area anyway. I'll be going to the show for business only.

Sounds like it would be worth going to then. I might be interested in talking to you about that myself . . . . but don't really want to wait an additional 3 weeks.

past couple years not really unless your a big affiliate looking to meet with program owners.

id like to see more affiliate based stuff like some of the older shows used to have

i'm like you...hadn't really gone to internext in the past 4 almost 5 years

But I think this one might be different...I'm giving it a shot especially because Panos is behind this one and I know he can turn this into a worthwhile event.
