checking my bank statement, lately ive had some checks coming in again after the epass fiasco.
So i see the deducted amount of check costs for november... and it was way too big an amount for the number of checks i cashed.
Called the bank..

The check costs are now ?20!!!! per fucking check!! That is almost twice the amount of what it used to be. Where do they pull these costs out of. Their ass??

NL webmasters, if you get checks, avoid the fucking rabobank! They are crooks! Good thing ive got paxum and payoneer now.

I haven't cashed a check in 5+ years. Now I remember why. Also 1 week hold on the money here in Sweden on top of It.

That sucks, I miss epass so bad.

My bank actually stopped taking checks from outside the US. Because of Epass I hadn't needed to deposit a check from outside the US for a while. It used to be a 50 cent fee and a 5-10 day hold while it cleared. I went to deposit one a few weeks ago and they told me they don't take foreign checks anymore. Pretty crazy.

Do they also charge you a fee to covert the money from USD to EURO?
Around here they charge a conversion fee and give you a low conversion fee. Double wammy.

I'm pretty sure my bank gives me the money directly but they also tell me that they will take the money back from my account if the check bounces.

I pay "only" $5 per check, but they have bad conversion fee in bank and I have to wait 20 days... I hate checks so much!

there is no extra charges with my Banks , except the incasso bullshit when you need to wait for 25 days for your money :(

I hate checks. Fees here are not that high but I need to wait 40 days to cash it and after those fucking 40 days, I must go to bank ,sit there, and ask from them to release funds. Fuck checks.

i pay 1.5% of check of minimum 3$

I pay around 10$ to cash check,a little more if bigger amount.And it take 1 month waiting to cash it out which is very irritating.And then some people wonder why people dont like checks.

WTF do checks even still exist? And why do affiliate programs charge less to pay by check?

In theory it is much easier to just make wire transfer - no paperwork and no possible fraud.

im surprised there isn't at least a couple banks who wouldn't charge for this. i'd imagine they'd get a lot of business.

wires would be great but they cost more money than it costs you guys to deposit checks. really stupid.

It always used to be that much in Germany.
I found a slightly cheaper alternative now, but they still charge a lot.

rabobank used to let me fill out all the paper work and charge me per page, so I could deposit a bunch of checks with just one fee.

I thought our Spanish bank were really bad with €15,37 per check, €18 per incoming wire and €29,96 for an outing wire....

people can take out cash from paxum/payoneer and deposit into their banks as cash and save a ton on fees. i know. hard to comprehend.

12.5 euros / batch, but every time I drop some off they look at me strangely and recommend I find an alternative way to get paid.

Also i had recently very weird situation with one sponsor,i got check,put it to bank,and after 3 weeks i got mail how bank send them back check and how they want 50 euros to cash it out.So had to pick wire transfer instead so i paid 10$ for invalid check plus 20$ for wire transfer.

under $500 - I get instant cash, 1% fee, min. €1
over $500 - 21 day incaso, same fee


PS:
I saw some Russian-American company, registered company in both countries, specialized in cashing the checks.
They have license in US to do that job. Somehow I've lost the link but if someone has it please post.

heh i was today in bank, and after 45 days of incaso i still don't have cash.....

i bet that they don't know how to use that procedure, it's too rare thing for bank clerks to know how to do that properly :(

Mine does the same. And I dont pay a fee if the other company bounces. Just if I bounce one.
