So I got an early morning wakeup call that my mom died
 

She died last night sometime in bed. It was something to do with her respiratory system, I am sure.

Since I sell on Amazon, I have orders backed up, expedited orders to get out, orders continuing to come in. My driveway and the streets are a sheet of ice, and I have to get out and drive.

We had a horribly toxic relationship, and to say her lack of protection when I was little screwed me and all my brothers and sisters up is a laughable understatement. For eyars, I did not allow her to have any contact with me at all. It's just been in the last year and a half or so that I allowed it. So I will sort out how I feel about all it when I can stop and think.

I have a headache and am stressing.

So cyber hugs are now being accepted.

Sorry to hear hun. My mom was and still is sort of the same way. and my family is a little on the dysfunctional side. I however learned how to deal with it. Shoot things. Especially things that move and if they can shoot back. All the better. For the average person Paint ball is good.

I have a similar relationship with my mother. She lived her life for her and now you have to live your life for you. Sometimes that means keeping family members at arm's length (and sometimes shutting them out for entire periods of time) to prevent them from causing you more harm and pain.

I'm so sorry to hear. It is difficult to lose a parent, but when the relationship between you and that parent is strained, it leaves you with a bitter aftertaste for years.
Hoping you get over this without a problem; give yourself an hour, sit down, have some hot tea and get in touch with your feelings.
